15 radio call...one star hero?

I´m pretty sure I saw a topic related to this, but didn´t find it :/

If a 15 radio call promises a three star survivor, shouldn´t the survivors then not coming (hope the double negation is correct...) with at least three stars?

I´m voting for taking the heroes out of the 15 calls, if not!

I want all the heroes, and when I have them I'll likely play mostly with them alone.
Not because they are the best survivors, but because I play the game for my love of the comic&tv show.

I wasn't even watching the show before I started playing. I like this game as a strategy game. The window dressing doesn't mean anything to me.

Anyway, the explanation given here in the forums was that hero tokens are "more valuable" than normal tokens, so it's ok that a call which promises 3 star survivors delivers less than that if the survivor happens to be a hero.

I don't see why that justifies promising 3 stars and giving less. There should be an in-game disclaimer.

And I also don't understand why hero tokens are more valuable than survivor tokens, except for someone who shares @Madpuppy's sentiments.

Plus it was said for months that NML was supposed to run a story parallel to TWD, but now it's crossing over into a bizarre parallel universe where two Darryls can show up in a mission, and heroes who are busy in the show's plot-line can simultaneously be active in missions in the game's supposedly parallel plot-line.

    @Pig

You probably read this already, but quoting Shteevie:

2 tokens for 10 or 15 radios is poop.
I think it's safe to say that player opinion in the office matches player opinion outside the office on that one, and we'll be doing something about it soon. That requires pulling up all the game data we can about the event we are just finishing now, comparing it to what we expected to see, and adjusting things [likely up] where they didn't match.
To be sure, this is good news to me too. While I may be less inclined to complain about the heroes (biased) I certainly will be a happy camper if they are easier to get and upgrade.

although I completely agree with the nusiance of receiving 2 or 8 tokens for a hero in the 15 radio pull selection... Technically the hero tokens aren't the equivalent of star'd survivors. Meaning when the picture suggests "3 stars or higher", when you receive a hero token for any value there's no way to determine the star quantity of the tokens because hero's are unable to be retired.

This is not to say that it's not an annoyance when 2 or 8 hero tokens of a type show up in a 15 radio pull. I'm curious if anyone has ever received 3 choices of only hero tokens. Because in that sense, regardless of the quantity of tokens given in each of the choices, it would be a clear violation of the "3 stars or higher" rule.

With the 15 radio pull it does display "choose 1 of 3" and it does display "3 stars or higher" so it's to be assumed you would receive no hero tokens, and any choices less than 3 survivor options would be directly against the displayed choices as stated in the image.

This isn't like ordering french fries and finding a coveted onion ring in the bottom of the box. That would be a pleasant surprise and something that most would find enjoyable. Getting 3 choices in a 15 radio pull and having 2 of them be hero tokens and a 3rd be a rare for example isn't really a choice. There are many posted on the forum depicting this happening, and I feel (as many on the forums do) that hero tokens should be a thing by themselves.

Eliminate hero tokens from the survivor radio pulls altogether.

Then create a system similar to survivor pulls to choose hero tokens such as 1 radio for 2 tokens minumum; 5 radio's for 8 tokens minimum with 2 choices; 15 radio's for 32 tokens minimum with 3 choices.

I think that'll make almost everyone happy.

@DLich I strongly suspect that the supposedly free daily phone call is going to be exactly that...a single star survivor or 2 token whatever. NG does not giveth, NG only takes away. And for some reason, they now seem to think we like collecting crap vs being able to kick zombie ass for fun.
