Bundle Pricing Thread

All bundles will be compared against the cost of gold for real money at best rate which is
$100 for 14,000 Gold = .714 cents per Gold

500 TG’s = 100 Gold; 100 Gold x .714 cents each = 71.4 cents per 500 TG’s
8 Survivor Tokens at 600 TG’s = 1 Token at 75 TG’s = 1 Token at 15 Gold = 10.71 cents per 1 Survivor Token
4 Hero Tokens at 800 TG’s = 1 Token at 200 TG’s = 1 Token at 40 Gold = 28.56 cents per 1 Hero Token
1 phone at 50 Gold = 50 Gold x .714 cents each = 35.7 cents per 1 Radio

I will update this first note as more items are available in bundles

I will not be using the cost of Gold vs XP & Supplies in any calculations because we are all at different levels and the Supplies and XP will vary for every player

The ultimate goal of this thread is to help players see what the value of each item individually is as compared to the whole cost for the bundle.

Great idea @DLich! It's always interesting seeing how these bundles are valued.

One other thing that sometimes appears in bundles are survivor slots. It might be worth adding that to your original post, although that might be tricky as the gold required to add a survivor slot increases as you get more survivors.

@JayZ that's a great point. I would honestly calculate them the way I calculate the weapons in bundles. Figure out the cost for everything else and subtract that from the bundle price to determine the "realized" cost for the survivor slot. Might be tricky when there's survivor slots in bundles with full supplies or full xp though.

As the example with Heath's Swift Crowbar it's determined that it's ultimately free since the cost of buying all items indivudually exceeds the cost of the bundle. In the example of the Import .57 the bundle costs more than the phones and gold and therefore it's a positive cost associated with the weapon.

I would use similar calculations like that to determine the survivor slot cost I'll try and run another one quickly on the "Scarred Veteran" bundle

@Dlich One alternative is to value a survivor slot at ~500 gold. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I do recall your first dozen or so survivor slots averaging out to around 500 gold. Might not be accurate for everyone, but could provide a close approximation in those full supply bundles.

I like it @DLich ! There's one point I disagree in your calculation though. I would price the TGs in thoses bundles with zero. My reasoning is that this is the only part which all players - especially the f2p - can easily obtain through raids.

Everytime I see TG in bundles, I think of them as a nice value free add-on. With that in mind the crowbar in above analyzed bundle suddenly is not "free" anymore.

@_NoName I agree with you regarding the TG's. I don't think anyone would buy TG's with gold but I only used the calculation because it's something that can be "valued" at a fixed rate. I don't think anyone would use gold to buy phones but i assume some players might so I calculated that portion.

Tokens, Phones, & Gold are the main factors when deciding on bundles when in actuality the Weapon is the "special" purchase. But I completely agree that I look at TG's as a filler, no incentive, no bonus added to the bundle

24 Hours Unlimited Gas : $1.99 Total

Since 1 Gas costs 2 Gold; 140 Gas = 280 Gold = $1.9992

140 Gas = 1400 Minutes = 23 Hours 20 Minutes worth of accumulated gas.

24 Hour Unlimited Gas = 280 Gold / 140 Gas (roughly) This is a great value!

All of this calculations are based on the fact that this is in US dollars.
We pay $140 CAD for 14000 gold.
So you guys are having it easy!

@DLich Might want to check first two lines of your calculations, rest seems to be intact.
Seems like noone else even dares to doubt your calculations (or is familiar with numbers).
