I like it. Small maps, so they go pretty quickly, which I don't mind.
I appreciate the diversity in objectives (2 crates, 1 open the door, 1 get to the exit, and 2 kill everything missions), they always make challenges interesting!
Before 2.2, I think it would have been fun to throw some freemen in there, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with roided up freemen in these missions.Proud member of Mavericks OG, a top 3 global GW and challenge guild.

I think they are bit tricky, but it is just matter of getting used to them, I guess. Hope to not get "use 3 scouts" on higher lvls. Lets see if I can make as many stars as last 2 weeks.

Nice to see new maps. Walkers popping up everywhere could be a challenge at the higher levels.

I'm disappointed in the challenges. I wish NG had shown some creativity & come up with new mission types or alternative objectives. I also don't like that boomers & freemen aren't represented in any of the maps. It looks like yet another challenge that quickly becomes boring by Day 2 or 3.

Really enjoying the new update's rewards. Really nice changes as well, just one thing that I am missing. I understand that you are displaying a new kind of ranking, something more historical and general. But where is the other one? Is it going to come back? I am wondering because my guild was working really hard to get a better position and everything seemed kind of lost when I last check the ranking. Hope you guys can understand our frustration.

New challenge doesn't seem new player friendly...no information about traps or the trap tank under special enemies, the trick spawn after opening chests, threat spawn all around map... Like that we have new maps but give us lab rats new toys/interactions in maps.
Still waiting for some more combined interactions: switch gates and bombs, or several switch gated linked rooms and of course new walker types (hope we don't have to wait several more seasons) give us some of the older walker types from the show in new scenarios. The door has been opened for allowing us to use vehicles to crush walkers...Just saying... -

@gespuer Have challenge rewards and gas costs changed in 2.3? I was under the impression that nothing has changed, and that challenge updates were scheduled for 2.4.Proud member of Mavericks OG, a top 3 global GW and challenge guild.

Yes they did. e.g. before there were rewards for player at 45 and 60.... now there are rewards at 50 and 65.... the gild rewards seems to be the same (so far 30, 90, 300, 600, 1120).
Gas cost were not in my focus till now. -
I first noticed a change when I got the normal 45 reward at 40. So looks like it's a slight increase overall

Good:
1) Any new content is always welcome
2) The maps are fairly fast
3) I agree with the folks here that the art work on the Alexandria gate map (and on the other maps) is good
4) I like the humor in the mission titles -- red carpet and big boss man
5) In the Alexandria gate mission I like it that it's several pushes that each take 1 turn. That way you can mix things up. I hate it when a players is inactive for 6 straight turns opening a door.
Bad:
1) No exploders?
2) No missions with alternative stars goals (like finish within 7 turns)
3) Many maps with spawns mid-turn. I hate that.
4) I would have liked to see some missions designed for using f ex my poor bruisers. They never get to play. Assaults are what I use on almost all challenges and this one won't be any different.
Overall: good job, NG, the Alexandria mission won't go down in history but I will be pleased to see it again next time. 7 out of 10. -

I'm so glad that the majority of players like the Alexandria challenge. I really do think the positivity is wonderful. But I'm hoping NG will not disregard my supreme disappointment, particularly in the fact that all of the objectives are the same ole objectives of every other challenge out there, (with the tiny exception of the two "finish in 7 turns" objective in the Grenadier challenge, which is 2 in how many hundreds?).
NG really had an opportunity here to create something new, but chose instead to just keep recycling the same concepts. This is particularly aggrevating in that the last update changed the Wrestler trait, and none of the maps take advantage of that fact!
The Alexandria challenge was the perfect opportunity to show how the new Wrestler trait "sucks less" than the old one by removing "avoid stuggle" from the objectives & coming up with something new.
Just as another example of an alternate objective, perhaps a challenge could have lent itself towards Scouts (every NML player has access to scouts from Day 1, right)? Instead of "avoid struggle," NG could have rewarded a "brain stab" star. There are so many alternatives!
NG claims they want us to develop more strategies, but instead of opening up more opportunities, they consistently limit the ones we are already using via "nerfs." As long as "avoid stuggle" remains the objective of (virtually) every dam map, the Wrestler trait is still crappy & certainly no substitute for taking away the viability of using Interrupt against high level walkers. I feel I've been very patient (& positive) throughout this nerf/buff process, but I find this very frustrating!
All that said, the graphics in Alexandria are wonderful & I appreciate the diversity of the map missions (kill all walkers, open the [very cool] gate, etc). I don't want to be seen as a Negative Nancy, but I do want NG to know that I really do feel disillusioned by their nerf/buff promises. Because I'm just not seeing any new opportunities for new builds here. -
Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't. I feel NG pain, because on one hand you have people saying give us more variety and make it more exiting, but then you have others complaining that the map doesn't work the same way it has for the previous thousand times you ran through it and that's not fair; i.e., multiple spawn points makes it tougher to farm, spawn points at exit makes it tougher to handle high level challenges, etc. It seems that no matter what NG does, someone is going to complain.
I can only imagine the complaints if they changed the challenge stars. How many people with dodge would complain that not having no struggle as a challenge star isn't fair because they developed their survivors to avoid struggle and now they are not getting their stars because NG changed things up.
I for one like the new maps and need the low level challenges to figure out where I can place my survivors to avoid getting hit or what survivor types to bring to avoid hits from newly spawned walkers. I for one enjoy figuring out new strategies. -
@MizTy Challenge rework is only scheduled for early 2017 I think (2.4 update)... I'm pretty sure I saw a post by Shteevie about it not making it for 2.3 update so don't lose faith in NG.
So far, I like the challenge but haven't gone too far. -

My last run through this mission with my hunter 19, assault 19, and shooter 18 the big boss man was 24. Talk about a beating. Then after taking him down another group of 22/23 spawn. WTF? Needless to say I was happy with my 2 stars on that run through.

I notice that there is no TG at 390 *s now - it's at 400.

I must have missed the announcement from NG on that change too @Neil_J. The reward at 420 is now 430, and the 450 is now 460 as well.
