Two things I've noticed since update - is this accurate?

1. I noticed that after completing missions I'm no longer getting the option to open more crates after watching a video. Only to pay, with pricey gold. Is this just me or is this part of the update?

Edit: Issue 2 is resolved.
2. I often switch out survivor gear while in the selection process for a mission. Say a scout got injured, so I'll switch their gear/weapons for the next highest scout to get me through the mission. I wasnt able to do this super important task a moment ago. Glitch? Please tell me this isn't the new standard.

    The video option is still there, you may have reached your vid limit. Haven't tried switching gear yet this challenge.

    Edit: just tried and switching equipment still works the same, my char wasn't injured thou

    You get so many video watches per time limit, discussed in other threads. If you don't have that option after 6-8 hours submit a bug report. Could vary with region as well

    I was actually being sarcastic. I know there's a limit which is why I'm asking abt videos bc I have not received ANY. If im not recieving the option to watch them, I cannot max out on them. No problem when I went to bed. This morning did the update and and now no videos today. Thus the issue.
    Oh and the links did not help.

    Also looking for insight into question number two.

    Video's are a difficult thing to manage, there's external parties involved as well which complicates things. Next is aware of the ads and works hard on them to improve.

    Look through the thread HERE to find lot's of discussion on the video issues. Below is a quote from that thread (the link to that particular quote is THIS.

    The cinema is definitely broken again - I haven't seen the option since the update. It the same with every update - the cinema doesn't work, the NG team tries to explain us how it works and that is not a bug, eventually they recognize the bug and fix it, but it always takes a lot of time and gold for us... I don't understand how is possible to break the same thing over and over again....and how every time no one takes the complains seriously....

    A big part of update 2.3 was bringing the ads services in-house. Now we are handling this stuff ourselves, and this hopefully means that we can address and correct issues with the ads delivery more effectively than before. Unfortunately, as always happens with new software, there are probably kinks to sort out right after the launch of the project.

    If you continue to not see ads, please file a support ticket in the game. The support team can collect info from you that will help us track the issue. This will be more effective than posting to the forums with issues like this.

    I'm also a developer-tech lead, so believe me when I tell you that I know about new features and bugs. That's why we have testers, three environments before we go productive, automated tests, unit tests, functional test, quality assurance and so on. Even then some small bug can end up on the production systems, but nothing that can stop a whole service/feature ever escaped. Then, even for these small bugs, we do bugfix rollout in matter of hours.
    Constantly breaking the same service and not be able to fix it ASAP, just means bad project management.

    I've never seen "Report a bug" option within the game, so I've joined to the already opened bug report about this in the forum.

    Just wanted to report Iam seeing more videos than ever. Now some don't work they go to load and take me right to the reward box which is ok . So it might be a region issue.

    Passing along this tip that worked for me. If you're on iPhone/Apple, try going to settings > privacy > advertising and then selecting "reset advertising identifier."

    I hadn't seen reward crate videos in a day or two, but that fixed it for me.

    @Shteevie there seems to be a lot of confusion and ambiguity over how the advertisements are supposed to work. Now that it's all in-house, do you mind clarifying a few questions for us? Giving us a better sense of how it's supposed to work will help us identify if there are bugs in how the system is operating (for those of us that are getting videos, but on an intermittent/inconsistent basis).

    In particular, I think we're all interested in:
    1. How many post-mission unlock videos are we supposed to get at once (it used to be 4)?
    2. How often does our post-mission unlock video quota refresh (it used to be every 6 hours)?
    3. What happens if we don't watch all [4?] videos in the [6?] hour refresh period? In the past, I have found that not watching all of the videos in the refresh period has seriously screwed up the video cycle.
    4. Can you answer the above questions for the cinema? Are there any substantive differences that we should know about?
    5. How do the cinema videos interact with post-mission unlock videos? In the past, I've found that watching cinema videos will remove or mess with the cycle of the post-mission unlock videos.

    I have the game on my tab and mobile. While I get videos on my mobile, I am not getting them on my tab after the update. So the problem had creeped again

    I'm not getting any cinema or extra crates since update. On my IOS or Android. Started late Wed. Nothing was changed on either tablet settings.

    My cinema ads have increased noticeably. My post-mission ads disappeared for a while yesterday but seem to be back to normal today (at least so far).

    I havent watched any ads all day and I got 6 gold chests and 3 silver ones in the last 3 challenges, I only opened one gold one and never got the video options

    Its not like I needed those low rewards crates anyway, but still

    I watched one ad after a mission, still had more next time but didn't want to use them. Came back later, watched the ads in the cinema and after that the after mission ones were gone.

    Not sure if it has something to do with them disappearing or if it's just a coincidence... But that could explain why some people have after mission ads but no cinema and vice versa, if they were linked (and why some have more cinema ads).

    I faced the same problem last time also. However, the problem got resolved with the mini optional update.

    I don't think its a problem with the advertisement not being available or otherwise I would not be getting videos on my cell phone. @Shteevie @Teeceezy this issue needs to be looked into. Otherwise, the update is great and I love the new scavenging missions.
