Tara's trait

Hello survivors!!!!
Does anyone know exactly how Tara's trait work for the event? I used her for one of the challenge's mission as a leader and I could heal my survivor enough to keep the "no injury " star but I didn't get all the set of stars and Tara had to go to the hospital. Why did that happened if she cured herself and the other one? She didn't get seriously injured, but anyway...
Cheers

    Now that's a bummer.
Me and my guild mate were hoping that it would work to save that star.

@NCDawgFan I think there are still benefits to using the trait. In particular:
    1. Her trait could definitely come in handy in helping complete some of those episode 14 challenges with the ridiculous buffed freemen.
    2. As @DLich describes here, if your survivor doesn't get bruised in the first place (e.g., from a weaker hit), it's possible to continue healing so that your survivor doesn't cross the threshold into the next type of injury. Although you might not be able to get stars back that you've already lost, this can help you from getting bruised in the first place or from getting into a struggle if you've already gotten bruised. Obviously, this isn't very helpful at RSL +5 where one hit = instant struggle, but I still think that there are certainly situations where this could provide a slightly larger margin of error and be useful in preventing injuries from getting further exacerbated, which could save some hospital time.

I actually agree with @Shteevie's answer in this thread (quoted below). I think there would be some serious balance and realism issues if you could just magically avoid hospital time and use healing as a crutch in every mission. It would make her healing ability way overpowered.

We wanted to give players a way to survive especially tough missions - to give another chance to win, when failure seemed inevitable. This fits with the tension of the show - a character my find an inner reserve of strength, or be bolstered by the heroism of a friend, but they will still be beat up and sore and recuperating for a long time afterwards.

We thought that if the ability did 'un-bruise' survivors, sitting near the exit area for several rounds to gather charge points and heal up before ending every mission would be tedious, unfun, and not the kind of gameplay we want to encourage. Also, we'd have to make the amount of healing way smaller to be balanced in that scenario

Good points @JayZ but she is currently my 5th best assualt and I would never take her (or any other of my far superior assualts) on a high level mission.

@NCDawgFan Isn't Tara a Shooter? Regardless, I understand what you mean. Outside of missions with Freemen, I don't think I would find Tara very useful either. Her other traits are not great, and I have several legendary Shooters with significantly better traits.

Just wanted to play devil's advocate with you a little bit and throw out a few scenarios where Tara's trait might be useful.

I honestly think Negan wins for most useless trait... At trait level 4 (which is what we can preview on the Negan character in the season 7 missions), you do 13% more damage and take 8% less damage "when low on health." Besides "low on health" being pretty ambiguous, I don't think a 13% damage boost or 8% reduction is going to get you very far when you're "low on health."

+1 for Negan having least useful trait. (Which is fine by me; I mean someone has to win, right?)

Personally I woulda liked Negan to increase trade good rewards. Woulda been good for bruiser equipment strategies. o:)
