could someone tell me a little something about weapons ?

i have weapons that i can upgrade with 4 or 5 gold stars and some with blue stars
should i upgrade those first or the ones my survivors are already yielding ? i get confused on what is best to do with weapons

I would do the ones you are using first, but that's just me lol

There are 3 things you want to look at when deciding which weapons & armor to use and upgrade

    1st is the weapon/armor level
    2nd is the weapon/armor rarity
    3rd is the weapon/armor traits

You're going to want to keep your gear "fresh" so I'm not sure what level you are and what level your survivors are but ideally you want to use base level gear equal to your survivor level that is either epic or legendary with at least 2 favorable traits. Sounds easier said than done and probably very generic but that's all there really is to it.

Recommend not upgrading any 1,2 or 3 star gear. Probably best to just scrap it.

Blue (Epic 4 star) and Gold (Legendary 5 star) gear will give you the most benefit. Blue (Epic 4 star) has 2 silver traits and 1 gold trait. Gold (Legendary 5 star) has 1 silver trait and 2 gold traits. 2 pieces of gear for the same survivor type at the same level will have the same base level stats (except purchasable items such as kingdom spear, morgan staff etc). Blue (Epic 4 star) will have a slightly lower base value compared to the same base level gear that is Gold (Legendary 5 star).

This probably seems like alot of information but it's really easy when deciding what to upgrade.

All things being equal, if you currently have gear that isn't upgraded you are better off putting on blue or gold gear (see 2nd up above). The base stats will be better than rare, uncommon or common. It is also important to have the highest level gear on that you can wear (see 1st up above).

If you have multiple pieces of gear that are the same base level and the same rarity then look into what the traits are (see 3rd up above). If you play alot of outposts a trait like silence probably wont do you any good. Same goes for melee and the threat reduction trait being useless in outpost. If you tend to just grab the TG's with a scout then your ranged attackers probably don't need stun resist. If you play outposts and just grab the TG's you probably wont need the wrestler trait either.

As an outpost player Ideally my ranged need to have wide bore, lethal and crit chance for offense; iron skin, dodge & health boost for defense. My melee scout needs swift strike, crit chance, lethal for offense; iron skin, dodge & stun resist for defense. Ideally I want legendary gear, base level 20 with 2 out of 3 of these traits.

Maybe someone else can help regarding their choice of traits or "ideal traits"

you should have taken a screenshot of the weapons to show, to see if its even worth the upgrade...

Just a shout out for interrupt, @DLich
Still working in the outhouses, even if less than useful elsewhere...

@GrimGael That's right sub crit chance for interrupt. Interrupt is required on melee in outposts raids. Well maybe not needed but it absolutely works everytime if the percentage is 100%
