@Shteevie @Teeceezy is it true that the Hunter event is replacing a weekend event? If so, please reconsider!!

Oh that's right @General_Quatre is holding out hope for the triple scrap event but I can tell you if you keep holding out hope for NG then you will be left broken hearted and a little used.

Well lathe devs said there WOULD be a 1.3/1.5x scrap event. Was hoping it'd be this weekend. Forget it, time to scrap!!

Was doing some research and Spring Event - Triple XP From Scrapping Items was on Friday March 25, 2016 through Tuesday March 29, 2016. Version 1.9 was released about 2 months later in May 2016 which introduced the 2x xp boosters.

If anyone is wondering why there's no "Spring Cleaning" event... I'm sure this is why.

Imagine getting 6x xp on scrapped items? Even if it is for only a weekend that's ALOT of free xp.

And thus why I think we won't see this type of event again.

Spring event will be super unfair because with the booster you can get x6 the amount of XP from scrapping.

If NG is afraid a triple scrap weekend will give some players an unfair advantage then I say hogwash because it's not like we can carry all the weapons from the last 13 months so you are not going to get enough XP from this event that you never have to worry about XP again.

Yes, we won't see Triple Scrap, but we've been expecting to see some kind of a scrap event. This was posted 2 weeks ago on April 13:

1.3x scrap isn't even an event, IMO. It's just marginally better than the current, low scrap value.

I'm personally hoping it's closer to 2x scrap so that it would actually be an event that benefits FTP players. It would also entice people like me (who only buy boosters once a month) to go out of my way to purchase an XP booster to get 4x scrap.

EDIT: Also, why would 6x scrap even be a bad thing? The faster people accumulate and max out experience, the more they'll spend gold on speeding up their survivors, gear, etc. which means people will probably PAY for gold, so NG still wins.

If someone did 6x xp, then they would be spending a lot of gold (which is dollars for ng) to spend it since we have the xp limit. So more money for ng. That reason alone is apparently a reason for them not to do things though.....

I just went in to see what i'd get if I scrapped a legendary lvl 23 upgraded weapon and it's 1.01 million. The max amount of xp my council can hold is 4.75 million.

It would be nice if there was a 5 second equipment upgrade (for all classes) this weekend along with a spring event but it wouldn't be beneficial to purchase a double xp booster during that time since you'd lose the additional xp above 4.75 mil

Basically NG would lose booster profits from players whom regularly buy them for one weekend. And it would help a lot of the players whom are upset about losing the round 15 in challenges get a chance to speed up their equipment they've found and turn old items into new ones.

**edit - I must have missed Teeceezy's post about the spring event. If it's 3x xp then a booster wouldn't make sense. Anything 2x or less (as @JayZ mentioned 1.3-1.5 is like 2.6-3 with a booster in place). Turning that 1.01 million into 2.6 million - 3 million is good but would really need a 5 second equipment upgrade for all classes to really thrive as a useful event

I don't see the benefit of a triple scrap weekend. Unless it is paired with reduced upgrade times. There are many other events I'd like to see over a double/triple scrap event. My top events would be increased radio drops, increased gold/silver crate drop rates, and increased chance of rare/legendary survivors from calls.

The benefits are obvious for players that are willing to spend on boosters and gold to get the most out of the event.

Some benefits for FTP players (based on my own plans for this event, if it happens):
1. Complete multiple survivor and gear upgrades (over a 3 day weekend event, one should theoretically be able to upgrade 4 survivors and 4 pieces of equipment).
- When I play, I only run missions when I know I have bonus unlocks from videos, farm zombie kills, etc. to maximize my XP gains. Even doing all of that, I still usually only have enough XP to upgrade 1 piece of equipment (or 1 survivor) per day.
- A Triple Scrap weekend will allow a player to actually run multiple upgrades at the same time, instead of having to choose between a survivor and a weapon.
2. A player who is smart and saves some items to scrap towards the end of the weekend can bank a ton of XP at the end of the event, and spend that throughout the next few days.
