Is the baseball bat in the TG store any good?

The bat for 12.5 TG - does it have good traits, or are they random?

random like all 12.5k TG items. whether it's good or not depends heavily upon whether you invested in upgrading all your buildings or just the council/training ground/workshop. if your player level from building points is high there's a better chance of you getting a level appropriate legendary. otherwise if you get a legendary 2 levels lower than your survivors level it's a fat waste of 12500 tg

@feracolyte 12.5K items are dependant upon the level of that class hero (if you have a level 21 bruiser, you get a level 21 bat) . It has nothing to do with building points.

The now missing 7500k legendary box gave legendary gear dependant upon building points.

The traits are random, which is why you can't see them till after purchase. So no, everyone does not get the same, and your actions do not affect what you get at all. All up to chance.

Thanks, Guapo! I am clear on how this works now, just got to decide whether to throw down TG on unknown traits. Any good experiences? Does the 12.5 TG equipment offer come up a lot? Sorry for all the questions!

Depends what you consider a lot. If you read the forum you will see pages of people mad because they were gone for a while. In my experience it is worth it because you have a guaranteed chance at getting the equipment for the class you need, and the 7500 is a random item requiring your buildings to be leveled up for it to be useful.

When I don't have a lot of legendary gear, I'll spend 7,500 TGs on a Legendary Crate. I figure the worst I can get is a Legendary Bruiser Bat.

I love the 7500 crates, but only because I'm max building points so get leveled gear. Before that I only bought the 12.5K.

I would say they don't come around too often, which isn't me saying, buy them up asap.

Whether they're good value or not, I'd say it depends on where you are in the game with regards to wanting/needing equipment. Like, if you recently upgraded your workshop and need new gear for all your survivors, blowing 12.5k on one item might not be the way to go. You could use that amount to grab 4 epic crates instead to spread the new gear around a bit. Epic crates sometimes have legendary gear in them, by the way.

But keep in mind what @Guapo said about your player level. If you buy epic or the 7500 legendary crates and receive gear at lower base level than you need, you should not buy them until you raise your player level a couple times (by upgrading buildings). Or, buy the 12.5k crates, if you're in that situation.

On the other hand, let's say you have good gear but really need new scout armor or something. In that case, it's far better to buy 12.5k crates if/when scout armor is offered, then to try finding scout armor in 7500 crates, at a 1 in 12 chance.

As for good & bad crate experiences, it's all random luck when it comes to traits so that's just a risk you have to be willing to take.

I have had poor results with the legendary 7500 crate so far, so think I will try the 12500 for a change of pace. Thanks to you all for your great input, appreciate your time

@Raven2318 I bought 3 12.5k legendary equipment from the shop today. The first 2, were armor. I thought they were pretty good. However, I just bought a weapon, and wasn't so lucky with the traits. Roll of the dice.
