What determines the gear level you get from these crates? The majority of my survivors are level 15 and I received a level 14 weapon.

The legendary and epic gear crates are determined by your camp level.
If your camp level is too low compared to your survivors, you get gear that has lower level than your survivors.

Your player level determines the level of gear you receive from Leg. & Epic Gear Crates. The minimum level of gear from these crates will hit 15 once your player level is 43.

This is not working. I'm player level 63 and completed hard equipment run. Here's my results

Those aren't gear crates.

Post-mission crates are determined by the mission RSL.

Ain't no thing, @RWS . The crate rewards in this game are confusing as heck. I was getting unusably low level stuff from gear crates in the Trade Good store, looked it up here and on OLT's site, misread it and bought even more useless crap when I had upgraded my camp but just not enough!

IMO, anything you buy should match survivor level, crate or straight gear, and if they wanted any actual money out of me they'd remove the level cap on purchased gear.

So the gear crates are only in the trade good shop? The rewards above were from completing a hard equipment scavenge run with RSL of 26.

I believe Gear Missions of RSL 22+ only guarantee -1 of the highest level (so no gear missions guarantee Level 22, only 21/22).

I would focus on getting TG to use in the TG Shop, as that's the only real guarantee.

Does this hold true for the 12.5K (TG Tuesday 11K) gear crates as well?

@DLich no, the 12.5K gear crates are dependent on your survivor levels not player level.

But this makes purchase of legendary gear crates a waste of TG. If I'm not guaranteed equipment at my highest survivor level, then what incentive is there to invest TG.

You give level 43 as an example. Well ... I'm at level 43 now and I'm equipping level 17 survivors.

Perhaps NG could discuss reviewing this disparity at their next team meeting? It is a pointless and worthless crate. I'm happy to gamble on traits I might get on 11k/12.5 crates, but the 7k ones are there seemingly only for noobs to waste TG.
