Gold Crate Gifts

"Give a golden crate as a gift to 19 guild members!" - Total Value 1900 gold!

1900 Gold can buy 950 Gas and allow play for 475 outpost missions. If I average 450 TG's on 4 out of every 5 missions I play that's 171,000 TG's. If I divide that by 19 guild members that's 9,000 TG's each. Since Legendary Crates are 7,500 each then shouldn't everyone get a Legendary item?

I guess I'm wondering where the "Total Value 1900 gold!" is coming from. My guild is currently filled with 20 players (19 in which I can send gifts to). If I don't have a full guild is the "Total Value" of the gift worth less and if so why doesn't it cost less to send the gift? Why can't everyone in my guild just get 100 gold instead of something that's considered the same value as that?

400 Gold that I spend could buy me 200 gas so that I can play 100 outpost missions. Using the same math above, 450 TG's average successfully completing every 4 out of 5 missions that's 36,000 TG's. That's just shy of 3 12.5K crates.

The purpose isn't to sound stingy, but mainly to figure out what "Total Value 1900 gold!" means. So if I open my gift and it's a rare item that's worth 100 gold? 32K xp is worth 100 gold? If I'm on an xp booster and get 64K xp is that still worth 100 gold? What is the 100 gold being based off of?

We always tell our guild members to save your gold and don't do that

But some members feel they have to do it once in a while

I guess what I'm trying to say is instead of all 20 members spending 400 gold each to send 19 gold crate gifts to everyone they'd be better off using the gold to buy gas, playing outposts and getting 3 legendary weapons/gear they can use for themselves.

You can't be serious about this, if it's like that then everyone in the guild can spent 400 gold but get 1900 gold in return.

I thought about it after I posted it and it would create an infinite ability to send/receive gifts. Much like the gift debacle of 2016. More or less I wish the gift received was something more than just a rare item.

I think if the sender have the ability to choose which gift they want to gift to everyone would be better, for example 21 gold, 10 gas, or the good old gold crate.

i also think all 19 ppl should get the same gift....i see a guild-mate say "thanks for the gift...i got a sweet Legendary Assault Rifle"...i get a little excited thinking hey maybe i get the same....then i open and get 6 gas...or 15 gold...or a rare weapon...or 26k xp/supplies....

i feel there are many issues with that 400 gold price point and agree with what you said...

@DLich BTW I think the 1900 gold value is calculated based on
1 gold crate = 500 TG
5 TG = 1 gold
so 19 gold crate = 9,500 TG = 1,900 gold

@8N8 if I recall correctly there was some glitch that allowed guilds to send infinite number of gifts and their gold counts weren't being depleted. I'm not sure exactly because I think all remnants of it were scraped from the forum I just remember it being a thing.

See it this way. You spend 400 gold in total. That means you spend 21 gold per gold per member in a guild with 20 members. 21 gold isn't a bad deal for a gold crate.

But it's a pretty crappy deal if the gift contains 6 gas. To fill your tank, it costs 2 gold per gas. 21 gold for 6 gas is 3.5 gold per gas. All gifts are not created equal.

Easy solution: gold crate gifts should include what you would typically get from a deluxe challenge crate. Higher XP (if you get XP) or guaranteed epic gear.

One weekend event I would like to see NG do is something like "increased chance of legendary gear from Guild gifts." I'd be willing to spend many thousands of gold spamming gifts to all members during such an event knowing there's a chance guildmates can receive something meaningful. I assume NG would want to encourage gold spending, so they should consider this type of event. It could be a win-win for all.
