Aussies paying $$$ more for everything!

I have just been talking to my guild members and found out the exhorbitant differences Australians are paying for EVERYTHING! We are paying from 20% more for gas, double XP to packs and I would like to know why? I am not happy!

It probably has something to do with a conversion rate in currency.

$1.99 USD for a gas booster seems would be $2.49 AUD

Lastly it seems 80 cents in USD = 100 cents in AUD which would be 20% difference regarding conversion. Hope this helps.

I did the currency conversion and that's why I'm complaining. There is no reason for Aussies to be paying so much more than Canada or the US! Canada is exactly the same rate as Australia and yet we pay a lot more!

We pay $2.99 for gas, not $2.49 and $27.99 for the comicon pack where others pay $17.99. Doesn't equate to being fair! Over time it costs a lot more when everything is more expensive here even if it's 50 cents!

@DLich Thanks for the response but I did do the conversion and took that into account. That is why I'm not happy. Canada has exactly the same exchange rate as us and yet everything here is more expensive. It doesn't make sense. As I said above, the comicon pack is $17.99 elsewhere and $27.99 here. It all adds up when idiots like me spend money everyday. Lol Again, I appreciate the response! Thanks!

I don't know rates others pay in the app stores in other countries. I thought the conversion might be the culprit. I honestly have no clue what things cost elsewhere in the world.

I'm Canadian and these are the prices.
If you haven't dealt with banks or exchange companies too much let me tell you something. Whenever someone converts money for you, they charge you some money as well for the service.
So the price that you're paying includes exchange rate and a lil something additional. As for why you are paying more than Canadians...the only thing that makes sense is that Australians are getting charged a little more for the service?

I'm not sure how that makes sense then, I've always known I've paid more for things on games as an aussie, but I just put it down to conversion. Seems that is some bs as the kiwi dollar is worth less then the aussie dollar

While EU countries with Euro currency are paying 1,99EUR(at least I believe so) for gas, in banana(Czech) republic, I have to pay 2,5EUR(after conversion), which is 25% more expensive...local tax and geedy banks are behind that imo. What really aches me in this, is lower average salary compared to west European countries...but we all have to live with that...or move west...germans will love us all

It's Apple's own price categories they set for different regions/stores. Then we use these for both platforms to keep things fair.

As far as I know it happens with both Google Play and Apple and with every single game/app. They have different rates on different countries. I don't really understand exactly why but I'm guessing that currency conversion, taxes and some kind of fees (bank fees?) could be the answer. But who knows, I'm working on international sales at my company and we also have different prices for the same products in different countries. Those things are always impacting our prices but things like market share, volume, etc... are also taken in account.

Does that mean NG receives more money from android user bc google play keeps less? I hope for NG there are more android user than iOS once.

People on an Island pay always more then those on mainland. All the extra costs to bring the goods over the far ocean to them adds up at the end.
