How did a player get chosen to be a moderator? Recommendation from other moderator? Was there a terms & conditions agreement need to signed? Any benefit like get paid or have some in-game rewards?

Thanks but no, thanks! I've done it before on other forums, and I've also been a real-life mod (i.e., a bouncer). I wouldn't be ready to do it again any time soon. But I'll pass on some free advice...

Congratulations, @Cherokee_Rose! One of the most important things is to keep your self separate from your role. You need a thicker skin in your role than in your personal life.

Another critically important thing is transparency and integrity: always be ready to specify clearly what rule was broken if you have to take action. If you can't do that, then you're probably taking action just because you're annoyed.

Personally I feel the addition of a new moderator is a good thing.
The current mods have definitely had their work cut out for them lately.

I admit I'm not too familiar with @Cherokee_Rose but I've only been a member of the forum for just under a year. I'm sure a lot of careful consideration and thought goes into these decisions, therefore I have no doubt she'll be a great benefit to the forum.
