@ekimhclew I lived on Oahu for over 3 years and still have family there. I'm 95% confident to say that bottom gif was from a situation in Hawaii.
I say this because damn near anyone I knew in the military and my friends in the community, at one point, swung from the Banyan trees. Here is an example for anyone who cares but doesn't know, the Banyan tree roots grow down from the limbs and at a point in the cycle they are amazingly strong vines.
That's an example.
Anyway, a lot of times people grab a weak vine. Haha normally they just land on their rump on the grass, but I know of two people who did that exact accident off the Pali Highway. Neither fell that far, but both had some nasty bruises and scraps. HahaDescensus in cuniculi cavum
