Would You Like To See A Survivor Scrap Event or Increase In Token Return?

Event Proposal
ULTIMATE SURVIVOR SCAP EVENT

- We all have survivors that we have invested time & tokens in but due to trait mechanics changes & the addition of newer traits some are no longer as great as they once seemed.

- Although we would love to scrap some survivors & use the tokens on others the return rate of tokens makes it simply not worth it. Specially when you're looking at the return for scrapping pink star survivors.

- My suggestion is to have an Ultimate Survivor Scap Event where scrapping a survivor we have invested tokens that the return tokens are equal to the tokens invested. Or at the least an increase in tokens returned.

- This shouldn't be an issue for NG as they would only be returning what has been invested by players. This would definitely please players, making play a much better experience, keep them in the game longer and feeling that their efforts collecting tokens to leveling up survivors which are now less than perfect has not been a wasted effort.

- Changing the way traits work is something players can adjust to but when it means efforts have been lost causes frustration and often leads to players leaving the game.

I believe an event like this would bring a huge deal of life back into the game benefiting players, NG and ultimately the game itself.

Only because I've recently scrapped a few of my long time old pinks.

I would be seriously miffed if they had this event now.

But only because of my situation, being selfish. It's a good idea.

Not only is this an emphatic yes, but I have been suggesting/begging NG for this for some time.

Either a hero scrapping event should be scheduled or we should be allowed a mechanism to 'reroll' or 're-train' a trait on our existing survivors, for a cost of course.

Just to clarify my proposal. You would not get extra tokens for scrapping any survivor or for a survivor just called, only those in which tokens have previously been invested.

I most likely won't be scrapping anyone even if this becomes real.

That being said I wouldn't mind this event for the sake of others that could take an advantage of that.

Due to all the pinks I've scrapped, I definitely would have saved if I even thought this type of event would of happened

I probably should have put this thread in Suggested Ideas but then thought to make a poll from it in hopes of getting the best response from players.

Nevertheless maybe it's an idea you could put to the dev. team when they are back from holidays & you have time.

I think it would truly be a great boost for the game in general & would please the majority of players.

I like the idea TJS. When I was new I rushed a few to pink with shitty traits before I learned a little bit.

It would give dum dums like me an opportunity to get back a bit more for a early on bad investment.

Yes yes 100× yes .. along with @Bill_ZRT , I have been a proponent of this for a long time (since introduction of Ruthless and Def. Stance)
This is a needed thing for the longevity of this game, if new traits are added without a recourse to scrap survivors for a fair return , it will destroy this game for the mid to high level players . Starting from scratch because you are forced to is one thing, but not being able to get value from what you have built has gotta be the thing that has most upset me with NML .

Back when I account suicided, I scrapped all of my survivors , several 7 star + survivors in each class . With the tokens returned, I attempted to build up a survivor from base legendary , could only make one 6 star survivor and not even close to 7 star (that's with the tokens I already had saved before scrapping) it made quitting much easier knowing that every thing I had spent so much time building amounted to diddly squat.

I’m not sure I could scrap them. I literally kept the “best” since the very beginning. Like before they could be leveled beginning. Like they were capped at 13 beginning 😂 how can I part ways now? That being said, I would like a chance to roll a new trait on a few ( I’m looking at you double dodge) and I’d be cool with a cost.

I would say no because it's a quite rare situation when you need to scrap a survivor you have invested in (I've made that only once for almost 1,5 year). But NG with high probability can make this event on a regular basis (quarterly, for example), which makes this event a waste of event...

I think equal to what we invested is a little much but I have a few survivors who I invested in before I knew better who I would scrap during such an event. Namely a bruiser without retaliate or punish and an assault who I got to 6* and then they changed it so Abe was 1 pink star higher and his leader trait worked in 2nd spot!

628 tokens back for someone I invested nearly 2,500 into...

Just curious , were you playing this game when they added Ruthless , Defensive Stance , and Sureshot with an update and at the same time nerfed bullet dodge ?

@Japes87, it seems they added them with different updates. I started before Ruthless and nerfed bullet dodge but with Defensive Stance and Sureshot (around spring 2017).

I know some players cannot fathom scrapping a pink survivor, but when NG keeps changing shit and nerfing and/or adding traits, it renders some of our survivors that we've invested so much in effectively useless. NG likes to say "no survivor is useless because different traits for different situations, blah blah blah" but no one really plays this way. Am I really going to use my shooter with bullet dodge and no ruthless over my shooter that has ruthless plus 4 other useful traits?

The answer is no.

How about keeping the survivors, but allowing us to change one of their traits for a cost, probably payable in tokens, and only at a certain level.

Eg once you've reached your first pink star, you can "re-roll" for a 1000 tokens and choose one of three traits that come up?

Of course yes, as almost everyone did some bad decisions especially at the begging of the game.

But the return should only impact tokens invested on pink stars, not those used for checking undiscovered traits.

I don't think it will happen tho, game economy etc... Blah blah blah yada yada... But I think your long term veteran players have at least earned an answer here.

You know what also hurts the 'game economy'? Veteran players who have spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on the game quitting.

I'm also sitting 1-2 survivors in each class with 6 or 7 stars and old-school traits (without ruthless, revenge, punish, etc.).
Along the current scrap conditions I wont waste the lot of invested tokens but I only use them at mid-level distance maps.

Token return for scrapping upgraded survivors needs to be increased. Either via an occasional event, perhaps after a trait nerf or a permanent increase in general.
