TOMATOES VS. UPGRADE TIMES

Next Games, the amount of time it can take to upgrade camp, survivors, and weapons (hours and hours up to a day or TWO) does NOT balance out with tomatoes earned.
I THINK there should be an optional purchase in the Gold Shop to earn double tomatoes for 24 hours like with experience points, and 24 hr gas option.
AND to only be allowed to upgrade camp one level at a time (until we, the player, level up) is another excruciating point. At least let it be 2 levels
I think player appreciation would certainly spike.

You wouldn't want double tomatoes once you're maxed. Trust me.

Agree, don't rush them tomatoes, enjoy that climb to the top.

I know, but to have the option at least is all I'm saying.I just feel like it's a little TOO SLOW.
I had to get 15 million to upgrade my training grounds and now 15 million more to upgrade my work shop. Lord knows how much I'll need after this upgrade!
It takes days or even a week or two, and sometimes longer.

I am in the same position, @meryn. I am gettingready to upgrade my council to level 22 so I am also trying to earn 15 mil cans. It will be 16 mil for training grounds and workshop.

I suggested the same double supplies option recently but it wasn’t supported well by the players who don’t need it. I thought if it was an option, a player could take it or leave it. It wouldn’t be a forced event. Oh, well....

Here’s what I do. Use Glenn in the lead. Put a training vest on Maggie and one on an assault. It doesn’t earn as many tomatoes as a double supplies booster would, but it’s the best I have found and it does help.

I find running Scavenger runs with Governor in lead (for the end bonus) + the double crates every hour, nets me more in the long run than I get by doing the Glenn option.

@ShadowaceAz, I’ve never calculated the difference. It will be awhile before I can. My governor is so weak compared to all my other others, I can hardly use him. He is still a very puny 4 star. Glenn and Maggie are almost pink stars so they can hold their own for awhile.

It’s good to know there is a better option!

I used to run Glenn, a lot, until a guild mate asked me to take the challenge of using Gov for 2 weeks instead. I was amazed how much difference it made. Yes, if you sit around and farm for the xp as well, Glenn wins out. If you just grab and go Gov will out soup Glenn.

I do outpost raids with Glenn in lead, because I'm facing level 26 tanks and armored the tomato bonus is far more than scavenge missions.
