We're expecting The Distance version 5 today, something we've not seen before.
So (with some requests) I've created this thread so players can share tips, videos, etc. to help everyone.
Please share any info. of maps, requirements, best teams to use, etc.
The more information available on what to expect the better.

Note from me, I think what's the priority here is to have at least screens of every map layout and goals before any movements made.
Tips and vids would come after that I'd imagine.

First impression I have, going trough the maps and goals it seems that maps aren't actually new, it's just they've been swapped around like map 21 to 14 or 15 to 20 etc.

Yeah map one is checkpoint. Bit of a let down, however the pit being second to last!!! Glad I can't get that far!

I can confirm this is true.....and annoying

Yep. Was annoying on map six. Might take shooters with charge point weapons next time.

The pit is not 19. It was actually somewhere around 15-16, either they have changed the names or gotten them mixed up somehow.

So after completing new hard distance set 5 here's what I found;
-there's no new maps
-maps are mixed around with goals
-you wanna charge your survivors similar way to any other distance, all assaults, bruisers, then as many high dmg scouts, shooters and hunters as possible
-many maps are clear spawn and go
-when fire bonus will finish, you ABSOLUTELY must keep Sasha alive till the last mission in order to deal with 2x 43 lvl spiked that are surrounded by walkers without freemen and with constant walkers spawns
-long story short in my opinion it's very similar to what you have to do in set 4, only 2x harder.

RSL30 is mission 14 with hunter, bruiser and shooter freeman and zombie spawning after 6 round

Charged assault, Hunter, shooter handled that one pretty quick, and recharge on the spawns easy enough

I’m starting to upload videos for RSL29+ as I get to them. A bit tough on a weekday because of work, but I will upload videos for as far as I can get. They can all be found here:

#15 is with 2 hunters rather spawning at the end of map. After second round zombie will spawn at the beginning and middle of map

#16 is old “the pit”. Objective: kill 10 walkers. There’s 1 spiked with 60k health. Like in old pit after 2nd round walkers will spawn. Spiked does not have to be killed.

This is lame nothing new, threw a couple diff enemies in, same maps, rewards same, just lazy and don’t even care about it anymore

Thanks to everyone for sharing tips & videos. Special thanks to @JayZ & @mimica , I lost Sasha at mission 17 from a stupid move & had my doubts I'd complete the distance but after watching both lots of videos & using a combination of both strategies shown I was able to complete it.

We have version 6 on S̶a̶t̶u̶r̶d̶a̶y̶ *next Tuesday so I'll create another thread before it starts so we can do it all again.

V5 without fire damage event Will be impossibile.....but new and more rewards for it ...... lol
