    @freedydaddy...yes I live in Panama City. House was damaged pretty bad. Living in a hotel in Crestview until power is back.

    @RWS and @freedydaddy, so sorry to see what happened down there. I was supposed to go on vacation to Panama City Beach the first week of November (not surprisingly, that was canceled), so I was watching that storm very closely. I watched a ton of videos of both the storm and the aftermath, and it was (is) insane. Like, jaw-dropping insane. I wish you guys (and everyone else down there who was affected) the best. Good luck with the recovery effort, I hope you're all getting all the help you surely need.

    My house was severely destroyed. Will be roughly 6 months of more before it's livable. Panama City Beach faired pretty well with most of the damage to the east of it. Luckily we evacuated and the family is safe. Thanks for your thoughts.

    So glad to hear that you and your family are safe and well. Sorry to hear about your house. FYI in case you don’t know, often you can do write offs for damage not covered by insurance. The IRS websites will list the details for specific disasters.
