Few questions

Curious what are the best weapon traits I should get for my survivor Ron.

Also is Laurie's traits better than Samuels?

Thanks for the help.

IMO Samuels is your best with Marksman. The other two are exactly the same, no point investing in both. All would be worth keeping for the distance etc.

A good hunter weapon would have Lucky, Wide bore, Incendiary.
    Just my opinion.

    @Keennuts

Sure Shot is a yes vote from some, a no vote from others.
However the majority agree Marksman is a necessity on Ranged survivors as TJS selected.

The reason for this is Sure Shot only helps if you remain stationary, which is not useful/possible on some missions or maps. While Marksman activates on each and every shot.

        Things to consider
    Marksman:
This % is applied to the Survivor’s base damage value, not the weapon’s damage value.

    Sure Shot:
Does not active in Overwatch (So you can't move or use Overwatch).
Sure Shot only helps in Non-Bodyshot hits, so at higher levels when you are 100% bodyshots, it won't help you (Unless you have a weapon with piercing and make the roll).

That being said, this is my best shooter at the moment.

Yes I think of the three I would invest in Samuel. Purely because marksman > sureshot, marksman is an ever present trait whereas sureshot will do nothing if you move or at high level if you aren't using piercing.

As for weapons, the flaming crossbow is arguably the best hunter weapon in the game. The ignition is limited to 45% so that's my only gripe. Silver bore then any combination of gold destructive, piercing or incendiary should serve you well.

Yeah, Ruthless isn't a weapon trait. I had to go back and edit my post. :#
At the time I was on the dark side of the moon behind the wall feeding animals, feeling comfortably numb & had a momentary lapse of reason. Sorry about that. o:)

    Just a reminder.
Marksman does no longer applie to base damage.

    Marksman applies to the weapon.
