Improvement of defensive stance trait

@Kaz
Defensive stance has never been a very strong trait, it was only situational but since damage reduction badges came into the game it is almost useless.
Is there any chance to tune it up a bit?
Could be
- extend the maximum damage reduction to 90% with DS
And/or
- eliminate the attacker razor weapon effect by DS
And/or
- add some stun resistance effect for DS

    I think if all current complicated formula for defensive stance would get scrapped and then % shown would be only an addition to overall Dr % in overwatch then we would talk about something bit more useful.

    I like the idea of Defensive stance being able to go over 80% or not being affected by razor, but I think Defensive stance is going to be more relevant now that you can use Revenge in overwatch. Now you don't have to give up that extra attack, and can still get to 80% without using extra badges or having IS, allowing you to add different traits to armor or use different badges.

    Edit:

    And while we are at it, vigilant could use a boost too. Perhaps, lower body shots during overwatch just a little? It makes sense if you are taking the time to aim that you would be more accurate.

    Yes I fully support the request. Defensive stance needs some tweaking.

    Definitely, I still don't understand why it's separated from the rest of your damage reduction. I had one DR badge on Abe for so long and I couldn't understand why he was getting slaughtered in overwatch :lol:

    The only reason I can think of why NG didn't looked at the DS issue so far is that they still themselves don't understand how DS multiplies with IS instead of stacking. :D Let's make a test:

    DS: 54%
    Survivor IS: 15%
    Armour IS: 15%
    DR Badges: 22% and 22%

    What is the damage reduction when moved and what when in overwatch ? @Kaz

    @JackBauer,

    Technically it doesn't multiply against Iron skin.
    If that where the case it wouldn't work without Iron skin.

    Rather it comes after Iron skin... (or before, it doesn't really matter)

    When you have little Iron skin and/or no dr-badges then defensive stance is still very valuable. Even more now retaliate or revenge can come after.

    End players with lots of badges and good weapons (I'm in that group too) are the only ones who will find diminished use for defensive stance.

    @JackBauer should be this (emphasis on should be):

    100 - (100 - (Iron Skin + Armor + Damage Reduction Badges))% * ((100 - Defensive Stance)/100)

    Oops sorry about that. Yeah I don't cap it at 80% because I want to know how far over I am if I'm adjusting badges.
