Time slot

Everyone in my guild seems to think we have to find an hour time slot that we can all be online and playing together. That’s false I think. The battle is like all weekend right? I don’t have to play at the exact same time as my mates do I? Just at some point that day log in, sort of like regular challenges?

You can take part in 3 battles on Saturday and 3 battles on Sunday. They're every hour and you need 7-10 guild mates online at the same time to take part in one. So not everyone has to be online at the same time.
-
You need at least 7 people on at once. This is killing us. My guild is having an extremely difficult time finding an hour when 7 of us can all be online.
-
Same here, our guild is spread across 3 different time zones which are 6 hours apart!!
-
So 8pm in one persons time zone is 2pm in another's? Sounds doable on a weekend possibly? I suppose we may be lucky having a general mix of American and European players but have had 7 light ups most evenings (U.K. Time)
-
My guild is going to really struggle to get 7 on at the same time, 5 is probably achievable. Hopefully Next will see the problem from lack of participation and make some changes.
-
We logged on at the start of the war but only 6 members joined..... mind you it was 11 oclock at night, but it left a negative feeling after all the hype. Less numbers would have been better.....
-
my guild cant either...6/10 waiting for hrs...we been loyal to each other for years and we have high turnovers because new members quit the game.... This will force guild breakups if people want to try new features....Its a really bad design concept...ive been vocal about it with no avail. Most everyone just rides NG and acts like everything is perfect with no constructive criticism or feedback that beneficial.

Haydenfisher - I agreed with you

Our guild is finding it near impossible to get 7 members online at the same time, so we’re missing out on battles we were really looking forward to. To be quite honest, it is beyond frustrating and annoying. It seems like 5 members would be more reasonable. Please consider this issue seriously.

We couldn't do it either! There's like 7 hours difference in some of our guild, it was virtually impossible!! Plus, there was The Challenge.. The Distance.. The Guild Wars.. Christmas... Way too much!!!
Lower the number of players required by 2, that we probably could do without giving me a nervous breakdown! -
Agree 100%! We wish it was only 5 players too. Time zones a problem.
-
Agreed. I waited for a number of battles to start where we never got more than 5-6 to sign up at once.
But a minimum of 5 won't work if the max is still 10, so that should be dropped to 7. Even 8 vs. 5 would be too big a discrepancy (60% more participants).
Limiting the max to might make it harder for everyone to participate during peak hours, but given how many guilds can't even make 7, I don't think a max limit of 7 would be an impediment to most guilds. And if it is, there's always the next hourly battle for the surplus.
Of course, fewer people in each guild would make it harder to complete the overall mission, but we all like a good challenge. -
Speaking of Challenges, I also agree with those who say having the Distance, GW, and Challenges all active on Saturday is too much. We should alternate GW and Distance weekends, so it's one or the other, not both. No one has enough time to really do all three justice.

Matchmaking should take care of matching guilds of same number of players against each other. So that its not 5 or 7 against 10..
-
@ErmonDax i was only cutting my playtime from Challenge. NG - Do not touch my Distance!
-
I think there should be a 50 minute sign up period and then 10 minutes where it is locked and the game matches you with a guild with the same number of players ie 3v3, 4v4, 8v8 etc and definitely the minimum numbers required should be reduced to 3.
-
2 things i think should be considered:
1. Making it like the outpost where the player can select the 3 defenders instead of algorithmic selection.
2. Challenge: Could be 7 days instead of 5 days during GW week.
There's just way too much going on to do all of this during the weekend. -
It started 11pm saturday night and finished before 3pm on monday in my timezone. That's not 2 days. My guild has members in Australia (me +oghers), Japan, Germany, UK and USA. Those of us in Japan and Australia have to work on Mondays. If it atleast went 2 full days ie 48 hrs we could be playing now. The guild managed to coordinate for 4 battles of which I managed to play 3, all of which we're in the 1st 24hrs (my sunday), the 4th battle sometime in my early am while I slept.
This game is not just being played in the USA or northern hemisphere. Timing and duration need to be factored into these events. Guild wars should atleast be a 3 day event covering all the world's weekend. Winter event in summer?Leader - The 75th Rangers
