Can someone please explain guild wars

I'm confused about the whole thing..

1.Do you just offer your players and the captain picks them?
2.What if you have 2 or more players that are really strong... does each get into the GW team or does everyone in the guild have to contribute a player?
3.Or is it your own players that make up your team?

You can check the release notes, ask a specific question here in this section/thread or read the tutorial/guide boxes that are available all over the Guild Wars screens. But I'm sure that once the first battle ends, players will get used to it.

Also, we are open to suggestions and to improve what requires improvement, so hopefully we can make it clearer!

I'm wondering what the other team sees? When they fight my guys during a war, are the toons and gear randomly selected? Or are they my outpost team or the team I happen to be using at that moment during the war?
