Allow smaller battles in Guild Wars please

I know requesting the ability to have battles with fewer participants isn't a new point to bring up but I noticed something this weekend while trying to play Guild Wars that I wanted to mention.
My guild has 19 decently active participants (everybody is typically between 200-500 stars per weekly challenge). However they are from all over the world so getting enough people together for battles can be a pain. So now people have started signing up for many hours of the day hoping that we'll get enough people together to have a battle.
The problem is that people don't necessarily know they'll be available to play but they sign up in the off chance that we get enough participants and in case they're available at that time since we haven't been able to get many battles going yet (we had only 2 yesterday despite many attempts). They also sometimes forget to check even if we join a battle and they could've played. This results in our guild getting destroyed in the battle because we'll have multiple people get zero points (or maybe a couple dozen points if they remember late in the hour and join for a couple missions at the end).
I played Guild Wars this weekend for the first time after many failed attempts two weeks ago and I think it's really fun and a great addition to the game. I just think allowing for different battle sizes would make trying to play it much less frustrating organizing it and also much more fun once you're battling since it'd be easier to have a chance at actually winning when we can play it.

We ended up having a battle this morning and 5 of the 8 members of the battle on my side got zero points because of the scenario I described in my original post

yes 5 is to handle, but 7 we didnt get this war, ok one time and 2 were afk, thx NG

I think the best thing to communicate to your guild members is if you have signed up for a battle and find that you won't be around to play one, withdraw your key. I mean if there is 5-6 of you good to play then it's fine to leave your key so others will get a chance to play.
It seems that to really get the most out of guild wars you might need to move to another guild. I understand people get attached to their guild but sometimes if you're quite an ambitious player it might be the best thing for you. -
People are keeping their keys active because we never have enough people active at the same time to ever even get into the battle without it and they want to at least have a chance of playing it.
I'm level 70 but I don't play a lot. I get about 200 stars per week outside of the summer/winter token incentive weeks. So I don't want a a guild with higher requirements for membership just to play a new game mode. My guild is pretty standard for a game that had no need to correlate location for availability in the past. It's also not like the Guild Wars happens constantly since it's only something I'll play a few times every other weekend. I just want to be able to play it without hassle and frustration. -
Same thing happened in my guild. We just decided to have everyone register any time they could, and let it sit out there. When we finally have 7 people registered, only 3 or 4 are actually online and playing in the battle. It sucks, but at least we got some battles this round.

Had 5 on the entire event. Don't know how many would be ready to play if the time came we got 7 on. I would love to see 3 or 4, and find a way to automatch against another guild of like size ... not a programmer though, might not be that easy!

It didn't help our casual guild that GW hit during the holidays. We had a lot of folks out of pocket and doing other things. A lower number needed would have allowed us to battle more often.
Suggestion: Give us 6 Keys for the entire weekend. That will give us more flexibility to get to the minimum number needed. -

Should be set at lower number and not a range. Teams should be equal numbers. 5 seems reasonable, fewer battles per level, and lesser rewards to balance. And gas for TG or supplies.

I got your solution Check my post out. Pass the word. TeamGW can help you out next War. -
5 players seems to be the sweet spot for my guild. Why is the floor 7 anyway, seems arbitrary.
-
I will second third and fourth this disusussion. Please - 5 - missed a lot of battles in my guild because we could not get to 7. I like my guild - good peeps. We are just all over the damn world!

That's an impressive Guild Star total. Good to see you have a hard working guild helping you.
I see why you posted that in this thread. You are worried that with only 8 players it will be hard to get 7 to sign up. Bahahahahaha
You might be breaking campaign regulations btw ... lolLast Stand BE recruitment
Last Stand BE have 4 places available for genuine GW players.
I can be contacted by PM for recruitment questions. -

All in good fun. It will take time to build a fan base for TeamGW the guild war guild to be and I am going to attempt to get as much attention to it as I can. If we kick off good we do. If not, then I’ll just provide entertainment to you with all with my challenge post at ultra high difficulty levels. Help get stuff nerfed. Lol.
