@Kaz since this has your attention, any plans to lock out additional players from joining after battle starts? Teams are sandbagging and adding players after being matched up. 7 on 7 quickly becomes 7 on 10. Before the last war I think you said you fixed the issue with people wanting to sign up for the next battle getting put in the ongoing battle. That was not fixed. Seems both issues could be fixed together.

Ok, we've done some more changes and now battles should start properly if you have the required number of players.
@dlb I'm not sure if I said that it was fixed, because it's not really a bug. In the current design, if you sign up while a battle is occurring, you'll join the current battle. The problem we had is that people met the requirement and then they started a new battle when it was about to end, so they used some keys in vain.
I don't know if we are talking about the same thing, but if it's the second issue, it should have been fixed. If it's the first one, then it's the intended behavior. -

@Kaz in the math, for lack of a better term, used to find opponents, is the number in the party part of the equation? If so, allowing people to join after a battle has started is an exploit, aka cheat, that allows guilds to find weaker opponents just because of the number in the party. With the decrease to 6 it will be even easier to cheat the system. Locked in isn't really locked in othedwise.

Do the algorithms consider amount of members signed up, apart from minimum requirements check?
I ask because @dlb posts infer that IS the case. My understanding has been that it considers the Guild's VP and matches to that. It's OK if I am wrong. But I'd just like to know if I am "cheating" if I get home at 5 past some hour, log in and join a battle.Last Stand BE recruitment

No, that's not the case. The matchmaking looks at the average player level of your guild and the guild tier at the moment. It doesn't take into account how many players are signed for battle. That's why we allow players to join the battle after it starts. -

I was asking a clarifying question with an "if, then" scenario. Both of the prior wars, we were almost always initially matched up with equal sized teams, 1 off at the most. Once the battle started, people jump on and we became outnumbered. So it seemed as if team size could have been a variable. And you never know if you dont ask.I_Am_Psycho said:Thx @Kaz
