I’m mad at the forum. Lol
Normally so smart and strategic and dishing out advice, some, are appearing to be disappointingly needy. Im frustrated with the demanding attitude im seeing and the total lack of thought processing about GW’s and the zero attempt at just playing what we’ve been given. With far too few threads discussing strategies and gameplay. I’ve kept myself in check ( semi-ish) for most of the past situations where players were basically demanding to have their way, but they will ruin this for all of us if no one speaks up.
We are only , almost, to the end of season one. Let NG focus on bug fixes. ( I understand the need of mentioning them)
I’ve been totally impressed by players of the past that have brought original play to the attention of the community. Instead of demanding more gas, less signed up players or different hospitals and basically a custom built GW’s how about playing and coming up with some mind blowing strategies and game play, within all the perimeters present.
I believe it can be done......With the exact Guild Wars we have already.

I agree. I've been quite happily just playing and enjoying guild wars with the gas I'm given, it's a great game mode and refreshing. Without repeating the distance or paying for more gas it's quite easy to play around 15, maybe 20 missions per key. I don't really need to be able to play 30-40 missions in 50 minutes! My huntsman is on the way to legendary and an awesome new hero.
My only problem is the prices of GW gas. $10 for 20-30 minutes worth of missions is just pure greed and extortionate. Nothing more, nothing less in my opinion. -
You cannot silence disappointed players. I say this respectfully the balance of GW gas is ridiculous. I’m allotted 50 minutes to play and I need $20 worth of gas to do that. That is insane no matter how you slice it. Also before anyone tells me well slow down play slowly that makes no sense, does anyone tell how fast or slow to play the challenge or distance etc etc? No. I’m allotted 50 mins to play and I want to play and win, if you lose you get 5 gas and all VPs earned not even a small multiplier. Either way you have a right to your opinion and just as you voiced it here so should other players be afforded the same opportunity.
I love the game mode but I’m not going to spend $60 a weekend just to play it that is ridiculous. I can spend $2 and play all day long for 24 hours. Again agree or not that is my opinion on it and clearly many others. I will be apart of the upcoming Season boycott. Good luck to you @Jenng and no one, including myself can tell you how to play or spend. Choice is yours. -
For the record also I have spent tons of $ on this game and I want to support the company. I also want to receive fair level of play for my money. I’m sorry 25 gas for $10 is like 20 mins of gameplay. I want better then that for my money and I will have no issue supporting if that happens.

GW has been so much fun. I found the metal heads to be challenging, and playing with my guild mates has been an absolute blast! It isn’t even over, but I am already looking forward to next season. Hopefully it won’t be too far off. That being said, Do I wish gas was easier/cheaper to come by? Absolutely, lol.

@Jenng @xbamfx I think we all want the same thing, fun playing the game (however we play and however fun is defined), I think the difference in opinion is due to time.
This is only my opinion from being here on the forum and playing the game for 3+ years and getting to know the forum and the people at NG.
I am confident that NG and the powers that be will make adjustments / changes/ balance to make GW a more fun experience. That being said, it's only the first season of GW, there's a balance between solving the bugs and making adjustments to the game. I'm confident that the data and numbers of the GW are being looked at to solve these issues. But it takes time!
Some want changes to happen sooner than later, I respect that but it will come when it's ready, some of us will probably not be here when that happens but I'm willing to wait for it. I've seen too many players that don't give time for it to happen. The only advice I can give is don't get riled up at what you perceive as inaction. I'm confident that things are being worked on.
Good things come to those who wait.
Again just my opinion.
I have to give a shoutout to @Kaz who never sleeps. Kaz was a champ this weekend (and the two previous weekends) handling all the GW issues. I have a theory that Kaz isn't one person but a group of NG employees taking shifts. Positive energy rocks!
Another plug for GW! It's awesome! I'm kind of glad that it's only once every other week. I don't think my body can handle the excitement and stress that comes with it.
That being said, please keep providing feedback about GW!

@xbamfx
I would never presume that I’d have the power to silence anyone nor would I want to. I come to the forum to learn and shoot the shit with gamers. I want to hear all about the wins and disappointments, the struggles and triumphant moments..........I’m not gonna debate pricing and value though.
@zbot
Absofuckinglutely, YES! To all that. You said what was in my head way better than I did.
I’m willing to wait for it also and even further, will be trying my damndest to play every war so my feedback will add to the advancement of the game.

What have you done with our @Jenng , this one is an imposter!!!! Too happy! Either too much wine or not enough whine. (just to be clear, I'm joking).
Winning has different definitions but for me it's outscore your opponent but it I can't do that at least I've earned points to buy sweet, sweet, sweet stuff from the GW store. So I win by playing!!!! We are all winners!
This was our guild result for GW Week #3 7-0 or 15-6 overall (we got crushed week #2). I was fortunate to participate in the first 6 and the scores reflect who in the guild was playing whether our heavy hitters were in or not. It worked out this week where our heavy hitters were spread out to different battles. I was able to play full steam for the first three #1, 2, 3 then 11 gas for #4, and 5 gas for #5 and 6. Resource management is a thing! Also during a few battles, we had to call for reinforcements, 5 gas doesn't seem like much but it helps. Communication what ever your guild uses helps!
GW battle #1 3,719
GW battle #2 4,391
GW battle #3 2,930
GW battle #4 2,496
GW battle #5 2,309
GW battle #6 3,038
GW batle #7 873
The names of the guild were blacked out to protect the innocent.
Could be a new record in my posting history, multiple posts not related to answering questions or helping players.
As for gas, I like the suggestion of getting GW gas during off week but instead I like to suggest getting GW gas during off week instead of during the week of GW, it gives me time to prepare and nothing will interfere with GW (I don't have to worry about the challenge, distance, or anything), it's 2 days of sweet, sweet, sweet GW.

I for some reason and covering my throat when I say this (natural reaction for some reason), but yes people should enjoy the game but I agree with @xbamfx about voicing our opinions.
@Jenng your point is awesome and I agree that we should enjoy the game as presented. I am trying my best to do that as well. But I too am a proponent of complaining about the product to make it better even if the ideas posted are not my own viewpoint.
That said I'll pm you a bottle of the wine of your choice @Jenng 😊
That was funny BTW @zbot ! 🤣🤣🤣 -
I’ve been rehabilitated and fully integrated back into society @zbot
But if I keep hearing just bitching and trying to rewrite the mode y’all gonna turn me back into the old me. Lol Voice your opinions I guess, but try not to push to change the entire format too much. -
I am not sure if the forum is ready for a pissed off pre-reformed @Jenng...
Y'all stop bitching and rewriting crap sharpish! -

The plan to battle is contingent on one key resource, GAS. To optimize your resources, strategic planning must take place in the 2 weeks prior to going to War with other guild. For low level guilds that also have limited players, 6 playing, then the plan which will work is to go into each mission in teams of three. You attack Left with 3 and the right with 3, while waiting all attack the middle together by assigned Number. The gas factor must take place in the beginning to allow those low on gas to play first and have easier missions. Then the higher levels play the remaining mission. Assignment of mission numbers 1-6 is help full and a process to thats assignment is necessary. The order you sign up in battle is easiest to remember. By order such as 1,2,3 etc. if your using a 1-6 appproch and your sign up as number 7 then your the next number 1. Well hope this start a tactic conversation. Another battle plan is to go in teams of 3 per sector and area and have a scout waiting for the enemy to appear. Attack on maps at a time and going order.

@Jenng respectfully I would never share my battle plans on the forums or any strategy because Guild Wars is a “war” I’m not helping someone beat my team nor should anyone. I don’t know if that’s seen as a negative than my bad, but I’m not looking to use my gas to lose lol. Anyway my comments strike to the heart of the issue for me and thus far I’m happy with guild wars but the cost of gas for me to sustain is too high for me so therefore I will not play it.
I will help my guild finish the final war due to loyalty to them and their wanting to finish strong. I get you wanting to be positive and that’s a great quality to have, I’ve stated it plenty of times I love the game mode but I cannot justify spending $120 a month for 12 hours of play that is too much for me. Hopefully a happy medium is developed and I can’t even imagine what FTP are going through with it. Anyway good luck to all didn’t want you to feel I didn’t respect your opinion on it @Jenng I know you to be a wonderful voice inside the forums. -
This plan has helped my guild be on top and in the top guilds of the GW leaderboard. In the last War we will unlock the chainsaw and by next season get the master tier rewards unlocked if it does not reset. Part of our success is our great team work and people committing to play. We have a solid group. One of the best to play with.

@Jenng, feel free to use!!
I hope I haven't given away too much information here, I don't want to hurt my Guild for the next GW's!
-
@Katz_Killers18 that looks like an awesome strategy! I’m sure it will get you to 1st place 😉 good luck.

My new strategy is not playing guild wars while I watch everybody else play guild wars.
Crazy ideas over here, I know.
Here's a strategic way to save keys and gas. Only start 6 players. After you see who your opponent is you can jump in up to the max amount (10 players) if it's a top guild.
If it's weaker guild or a bot guild like Dwight etc.
Use min keys and gas. 😊 -
Hey it worked for a little while anyway. Don't see us climbing the success ladder with this

I'm trying to become a better slacker than Dubya -

There is another strategy but I have to test it in next War. TBC.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but everything is reset before the next season starts. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's virtually impossible to reach master tier without a great deal of co-ordination and an even greater amount of money.avelardez said:This plan has helped my guild be on top and in the top guilds of the GW leaderboard. LOL, OP hasn't been on teh internets long. All forums descend into a toxic, hate-filled, trolling mess eventually, until everyone leaves and the forum closes.
I'm surprised forums still exist.
...But, come on, 75RP compensation for being stuck on "<1min" and unable to play the last war was a derisory amount and displayed a lack of understanding of the amount of RP that would've been earned - around 1000(?).
I really don't care, I free-play. I only came here to report the bug, read the helpful posts, and give an opinion.
I don't advise reading the angry comments and taking it to heart 😠😢😭👍😅. -
I'm nervous about discussing strategy on the forums, because we have all seen cases where when we get too much out of the game, or find loopholes, that NG changes things around and makes them worse. I myself am personally responsible for one of these instances, much to my shame. So I would encourage anyone who wants to share good strategies/loopholes to NOT do so in a place where NG can read.
