WEEKEND EVENT - COMPONENT EVENT - CLOTH OR EDIBLES ?

So... start the rotation from Edibles? And then Edibles > Metal > Cloth > Chemical and repeat?
I do understand that it completely makes sense looking back at the previous events we had, but it's a rotation that players can't really rely on anything else other than their own memory (or the forum). For us, it really doesn't change anything, we just have to set up the event differently, I'm just worried if it could be confusing for some players. Maybe we can make it a broader discussion in "General No Man's Land Discussion"? What do you guys think?

The general feedback I've received is exactly what Kaz suggested.
This Weekends Event - Edibles followed by Metal - Cloth - Chemical & Repeat.
As Kaz also suggested, this could be made into a broader discussion here in 'General' section. So here's the thread for just that.

Honestly, I don't care. I think it's easier to go in the order the components are listed in the game instead of the initial order these events happened. As long as these events are fairly regular, I know that I'll get a chance to swap these components at some point or other, so when exactly that happens doesn't matter much to me.Proud member of Mavericks OG, a top 3 global GW and challenge guild.

The components will follow the same order as they are presented in the game, but since we just had a Cloth Component Event some months ago, I guess starting from Edibles is fine.
So when you go to the Craftsman building and check the Component tab, they are shown in this order:
- Cloth
- Chemicals
- Edibles
- Metal
We start with Edibles for starters (yep, I did it) and after we have the Metal Component Event 🤘, we can keep the Cloth > Chemicals > Edibles > Metal rotation. -
What we need is more chance % of FRAGMENTS. Component drops ( all colors ) way too much compare to Fragments
-
@romeo I have the opposite problem with the legendary components. I have too many fragments and not enough components to craft legendary badgesLeader of WATCH TOWER RoD
-
Oh well guess it’s different drops for everyone 👍
-
@Kaz is there any improvement in the works to be able to swap the 1-2 star components multiple times, I am still drowning in them after multiple component events, it would be nice to get rid of more

Component drops are bad too - but my zero Legendary badge frag drops since August would take issue with your problem
I think we can all agree that the 100% chance was a good (but necessary) move, but nerfing the drop rate was an absolute killer. 100% of zero is still zero. -
@tjhookr When the components event was first announced I instantly thought that you could swap a big portion of your inventory. That was a bummer. Also, I'm hoping we will have a badge revamp in the following update (after the February one).

@Kaz is the event set to start at the usual weekend event time, and if i don't login to the game till then will my tradeshop have the component exchange in it?
-
This mechanic wasn't implemented in the game. In the TG things can be only purchased again with gold (like the Hero Tokens). So no improvement regarding your request.tjhookr said:@Kaz is there any improvement in the works to be able to swap the 1-2 star components multiple times, I am still drowning in them after multiple component events, it would be nice to get rid of more
Correct!Firekid said:@Kaz is the event set to start at the usual weekend event time, and if i don't login to the game till then will my tradeshop have the component exchange in it?

How about just do this for low level components? It would not involve any extra coding, just add a zero to both sides of the trade.Kaz said:

By the way, it would be nice to have trading downs too.
Trading 50 Uncommon fragments for 10 Rare fragments is not very appealing, but the reverse trade gives lots of draws to play with and helps to use up 200 of otherwise useless components.
The problem people are having is the large amount of low level component that they can't use up, so allowing trading-down for lower level fragments or increase the trade size for trading-up will both alleviate the situation.

Trade 1 green Frag for 5 uncommon Frags? For example?
...my mind is blown by the shear simplistic brilliance of this suggestion.
Hells YES!

What time the weekend event starts?
-
Just going to hijack the thread. Here’s what I’ve been offered to trade and what I currently have. Do you think I should keep the blue components/frags or trade up for the legendary frags?
-
I think as you have 20 edibles, that's enough for 4 components across the weekend which will give you a chance of getting enough to get a guaranteed legendary badge. Rather than spending half of them on a frag when you have no components to use with it.
5 blue frags for one legendary isn't really that good a deal IMO. -
I would do the frag trade but not the edible one. You can recoup your epic frags in one week (Thats assuming you can get them in the distance quite easily)
-
You also have plenty of green edibles to trade up to blue over the weekend so I've changed my mind. Go for both 😁
-
-
Lol nothing like conflicting advice to help you decide! What did you do in the end?
-
Trade all blues lol

Went for both! -
Only problem is you might end up with more Leg Fragments than you can craft. That's my case anyway.-TJS - Member of W-SNation Wars 🇦🇺 Australian Team Captain

You'll get to craft them at some point though? Better to have to many than to few... epics are easyish to come by, legendary ones not so much...
-
-
I've had once chance at legendary fragment all weekend and that was for 10 Components leaving me 1 left, yer ny 24 epic frags remain untouched. The cynic in me would sag that the game knows what you need and as such gives you f all.
-
-
Odds of crafting a gold badges from all blues... 1 in 10
Exchange rate of Blue frags for 1 gold Frag... 5 / 1
So if odds play out exactly, you get twice as many gold badges trading in your blues instead of crafting them.
Assuming you've got no more need of Blue badges at all, saving and trading is where you live now. Like me.

I’m saving all my blue frag and components only for this event.
