Alright! As promised, and perhaps long overdue... a Q&A/ AMA thread where you guys can ask me many (not all) kinds of questions and I will answer them

Since we have to keep it somewhat professional, let's have a couple of ground rules:

-I cannot talk about game specifics that are normally off the table. No deep economy discussions, no promises about release dates or far future plans, no discussion of the show that extends beyond episodes that previously aired.
-I reserve the right to maintain my own privacy.

The thread will either last about 14 days, or I'll answer approximately 50 questions (whichever comes first). Let's go!

You are doing a great job so far and replacing Kaz is no easy task - he was fantastic for the game and community.

Keep things transparent, don't step on eggs, and stay away from the spreadsheets of data that NG loves so much. Focus on real player feelings and you will have a great trip ahead.

No "promises" doesn't mean we can't banter a bit about possibilities, yes???

Hmmmm...

Any chance we'll see more Highlights Missions featuring locations, missions, and TWD characters from past seasons not yet covered in the current NML game?

Not asking for a promise, just your thoughts.

1. How did it happen that you came about to work for NG and then how did you become a community manager.

Thank you! Transparent good, stepping on eggs bad, got it! Everything you said makes sense, though I do have to look at spreadsheets every now and then.

1. I like the word and its meaning associated with constant change, never settling etc. But actually initially I was just going with the one X. In setting up my account, I used a wrong e-mail so Vane added the 2 X's so that I could create another account with the name Flux... but I thought the extra X's added some flavour to the name so I kept it (I didn't give much thought to the exact flavour though..)

2. For a while my favourite hero was Jesus, but once I unlocked drive-by Daryl... you know the rest of the story. But in general, I quite like playing with ranged characters because I think the incendiary animation is one of the coolest ones we have, it's very satisfying to set a walker on fire 😅

3. I'd like to think that I'd be able to survive for quite a while. But then again, don't we all want to think that?

5. I'm not sure I can answer this without breaking some forum rules, but in a nutshell, I would check how different things feel compared to how they feel as a male :P

6. It's really subjective... depends on whether you see being shirtless as higher or lower value content. But perhaps the best way to benchmark this is by assigning values to all content creators (1= has a shirt 0.5=a tank top or something partially revealing 0= no shirt) and then calculating the average.

7. It is quite difficult... let's go with top 5

• Schnitzel (chicken or pork) with mashed potatoes - it's a classic for me. I could eat it for days on end without getting tired of this dish.

8. I don't finish books very often, to be honest (I kind of read parts that are interesting to me and then put it back on my shelf). But the last one that I actually finished was "The Design of everyday things" by Don Norman.

9. Since I've started playing NML, I always thought it'd be cool to have an "Academy" section with some slots that are reserved just for low level players - that way new players could get more guidance and would enjoy the game even more imo. The academy could also somehow contribute to challenges, but that's a thought for later.

10. Real time counters and personalized stats for community events (like the Earhunt)

Not asking for a promise, just your thoughts.

11. There may be a chance of TWD characters, but new missions that feature locations have a much more complicated process so I really don't have an answer for that.

13. My best friend and back-then-flat mate started working here first and recommended that I apply. As for my career origins, I wrote my bachelor's thesis on social media and brand tribalism - my job following that was a social media coordinator and community manager was a natural next step on that path. Before NG, I have been a CM at two different places, one at a SaaS company that had a focus on online channels, one that was was balanced between on offline/online channels (organizing events, making videos, social media, etc.).

14. Dota 2 is by far my favorite game. Otherwise I've really enjoyed the most recent GoW, Rocket League, Fifa.

Does the entire office/staff get to watch the season(s) early ? or it just the development team?
* assuming that they must for the season mission...... could not see them putting maps out in just a few hours after the episode plays *

@Fluxxx Simple questions for brain training: 1) why is a duck swimming? 2) why water in a glass? Just do not accidentally break the brain ))). And now to the point: how difficult is it to create new weapons with special abilities?Think is to significantly increase the range and functionality of the weapons and armor with special abilities.

Dude, my son plays FIFA and Rocket League (some kind of car-soccer?) Almost exclusively and with obsession.

15. Yeah I do! I play maybe a couple of hours a day.

17. Just the development team . Otherwise we get bits and pieces that we need (synopses, highlights and whatnot)

18. It requires a bit of effort as it needs art, code, and design. Adding new weapons also requires an update, so it's not as simple as "hey, let's add a cool new weapon!"

19. That's a really tough question man.. also not sure how to define favourite here. Shiva and Jesus hit me pretty hard so I would choose one of those 2.

20. I guess so, he's a really good and interesting character in the show so I'm happy that he's in it but he's a total prick.

21. Yeah I think so. Finland's a pretty good place to be in you know... a population of 5 million people despite being the 8th biggest European country by area, so there's never gonna be a very big herd

24. Ok so this isn't what I'd be in an actual zombie apocalypse (machete/sword ftw). In NML I'd most likely be a Scout, with Dodge, Lucky, Power strike, strong, iron skin

Oh!!! Speaking of hot air balloons @Fluxxx. It’s closer to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta ( every October in New Mexico ) that’ll give you a bucket list check.
