Open gate/attack

Can this be fixed? I keep getting bruised because it opens the gate when I intended to attack.

    It happens whenever a walker is standing right next to the gate.

    There are 2 possible options, the game will always choose "open the gate". "Attacking the walker" is only possible when your survivor can't reach the gate.

    You'd need some sort of dialog box to choose the other option. The game doesn't have that.

    That is just in the game. Adapt.
    Don't make the same mistake over and over...

    It's annoying but you do get the info popup "open 1 round" or whatever so if you pay attention you should be fine. Just stand next to the door and do an overwatch attack instead, take a step back if you are a shooter or have a long range weapon. Be creative. It's not a big issue.

    You can also attack with spear or at an angle if you block the direct slot with another survivor
