A few questions about Guild Wars

1. How does hero/survivor level impact your Guild Wars starting level in regards to
a) if my heros and survivors are level 18, my GW starting level is 18 -- but what if I level up one or two to level 19? Just leveling up one would increase the difficulty of hard Scavenge missions. Is that the same for GWs?
b) what about pink stars? Do they have any bearing on GWs starting level?
2. How are the player enemies in Guild Wars created or determined? Are they randomly generated? Are they the heros/survivors that are in that player's outpost but scaled to the GW area level you are completing? What about their equipment and pink stars, etc.?

a) "Enemy survivors are adjusted to your top level survivors."
b) No.

Based off your best heroes/survivors.
No.
Not from outpost.
Yes. -
Thank you for the links and your response.
I have read the GW faqs before, but I just don't know what adjusted to your top level survivors (plural) means exactly since it doesn't say top level survivor. Does it actually mean top level survivor singular? Will just one at level 19 and like 39 survivors at level 18 make it start at level 19? -
It's unlikely. Much like how Challenges adjust close to the average of your top 3. That is likely the case here. NG is often coy about exact formulas, but is generally fairly accurate in their wordings.

It’s calculated on how much gold you have. If you have 50k plus it’s very high. If you have 5k it’s just high enough for you to burn 4876 gold

Hello! On my Guild Shop I have equipment level 25. If I upgrade my Workshop, the equipment available at the store will also increase one level?
-
@Loneranger74 you need to upgrade a survivor\hero in that class to level 26 to get the equipment at a that level.
-
@firekid thanks! But will the guild store automatically upgrade the weapons available? Or I must wait for the next reset?
-
It will be automatic. As soon as you have someone at 26 it will change. Although it may be worth just double checking before purchase and force closing the game if it has it updated.

1A if my heros and survivors are level 18, my GW starting level is 18 -- but what if I level up one or two to level 19?
It's based on the average of your top 3 survivors. So if you have one survivors that's a level higher than the rest, this doesn't matter (19+18+18)/3 is 18 after rounding. You can even keep two survivors higher than the rest as long as they're two levels higher than the rest (20+20+18)/3 is 19 after rounding.
I know this for a fact, having experimented to get this level advantage in GW and challenges (though I think it's only an advantage in challenges as long as you're under level 23).If you want to get better at this game, join Discord and learn badge crafting and much more: https://discord.gg/cDhgv3AJ89 -
Adding to what @Firekid said, the level of equipment purchased in the store (including TG store and guild store) as well as claimed in campaigns like Bloomsday is based on the highest level survivor you have in the class the weapons are for. So if you have a hunter lvl 19 but assault level 18. Your "Decimator" will only be level 18.
However, equipment you get from The Distance are based on your highest level survivor regardless of class.
And equipment levels from gold crates you get after missions are based on the difficulty of the mission, while gold crates you purchase or receive for doing daily quests or Challenges are will be something likeProfile level / 3 + 1

I upgraded my characters thinking I'd be able to help with higher tiers in guild wars but now the difficulty in the tiers just start out higher. If this is the way it works for most, how do they expect guild members to be able to fight in the higher levels? Everyone ends up battling in the same lower tiers because that's where their characters level's are starting at.
-
If you upgrade your equipment, badges, and tactics, you should be able to fight harder enemies. Survivor level doesn’t really help until you get to about lvl 24 and above where the ratio to damage/health gains increase slightly compared to previous levels, while walker level increases remain at the same rate.
-
Thank you. That makes sense. I can fight walkers/enemies up to 5-6 levels higher but I still have a fair bit of work ahead of me as my main characters are at level 22.
