Reroll tokens are expensive and you shouldn't really waste them on the default hunter Daryl. His leader trait does not help with high level play.

Those existing traits are pretty useful already for the basic missions.

Idk @Grady I love my Daryl teamed up with Alpha. Granted it's 50% bonus attack this week, but even without that I find them a better option on some maps over 40+. I am using them to clear Hershel's Farm and Killing Zone this week. I think these were MM 42 and 45 on Killing Zone? Both of these were my first attempts on those levels.

Yeah those are great traits to have. Except I think you meant Revenge (attack when ally is attacked) instead of Retaliate (attack when Daryl is attacked). Generally you don't want Hunters getting hit. Personally I am not as big of a fan of Revenge and would prefer Marksman, although Revenge is good against human enemies.

If you can pass those levels with Daryl then you could have passed them as easy or easier with other heroes.

Hershel's Farm does not even have a threat counter, and his leader trait Silent Shot is for reducing the chance of increasing threats, therefore half of it is wasted already.

Sasha is clearly a better choice for instance.

Reroll "retaliate" if you already invested a lot in him and you are used to playing with him, even at high levels...

Not necessarily. Killing zone for example I could use melee, but I also could get surrounded by a wall of walkers. It doesn't hurt to be able to use different strategies in case your better heroes are injured. Unless you just throw gold or money at the challenge, then good for you for that extra income.

I didn't say he was the leader on Hershel's farm, just that I was using him. Do you only reroll heroes that you use in the lead?

Eventually all our best heroes are going to have "perfect" traits anyway. What are you going to use your reroll tokens on then? Why not reroll some "useless" survivors, they may actually surprise you.

Guys thank you all, so... do I reroll retaliate for revenge or marksman as @BadLuckLuke & @ShadowWalker said???
@JayZ also agrees that retaliate is useless on a hunter...

    Thanks in advance 😊

Most people will probably say Revenge, honestly I would just take which ever one came first. While obviously I am not against re-rolling Daryl, I am against wasting 4 or 5 rolls looking for the "perfect" 5th trait when there are usually a couple traits that work just fine.

Sure Shot would be pretty good as well. Daryl's LT (30% at lv 5) + Base CC (10%) + SS (lv 5 40%) would be 80% CC. Plus you have lucky so that brings it to 90% easily.

This is my current Daryl, eventually I would like to get luck on him, but it's not a priority for me at the moment.

Paired my junior Dixon with a rocket launcher, so according to @JayZ , @psychwolf , @ShadowWalker and a bunch of other guys I can't remember right now (thanks all), here is his ideal traits' list:

    Essential:
    Marksman
    Critical Aim
    Sure Shot

    Nice-to-have:
    Dodge
    Bullet Dodge
    Iron Skin

    Useless:
    Retaliate
    Defensive Stance
    Revenge
    Vigilant
    Ruthless
