It was a really tough call for me between Primed and Hazard Suit, eventually decided Lucky would have to be the trait to go. Then changed my mind again and decided Ruthless might be the most dispensable. Tyresse’s LT might mean his damage from attacks doesn’t matter very much? Lots of great new armour options means some difficult choices

Something brand new would be even cooler. Problem is, what’s brand new that could come close to an Ensnare Morning Star? Ensnare Dragon’s Tongue is cool, and I’m using it a lot because I want to love it, but taking a warrior with a DT instead of an MS feels like going to work in my pyjamas - I don’t feel confident about the choice I’ve made

Maybe something with Dragon Tongue’s range and guaranteed root on charge attack, instead of a trait? Silver Destructive, Gold Lucky, Gold Intterupt? Charge up in overwatch like Mercer’s Axe maybe? It’d be good on a second warrior with Ezekiel in lead

This would be awesome!! Maybe consider losing the threat as well? If Chainsaw doesn’t increase threat then hopefully NG would consider taking that away from this too?

Between @JordanYuki and @Shian that’s three really exciting ideas for new scout weapons in the last few days. I hope NG can make these happen and breathe some much needed life into the scout class. Don’t call it a comeback

Not having an interrupting Morning Star is a disadvantage in the Last Stand when Tanks and Spikes spawn right next to you and you have no place to maneuver so I would love to have an interrupting Morning Star.  Make it gold Interrupt,  gold Lucky, and the silver trait can be something unique like Concussion, Ensnare, or Incendiary.  Having 2 turn stun on warrior would open up some options.  Incendiary would help kill non-stunables faster and would make medkits more useful/desired.  Tactical, we can now get on armor and we can get non-body shot through weakening so don’t need Razor.

A better version of Dale’s Rifle with the shotgun’s special functionality, tactical and cripple. I mean the Ornate Shotgun has a crippling charge attack, only makes sense to give it cripple 😜 Cripple gold and Lucky silver would have been even better, but maybe too op?

Not for Sasha, she’s charged all the time and charged attacks are always Critical Hits

Oooh, that’s a tough one for me! Would you rather have the extra luck in the weapon, but then lose one of Hazard Suit, Primed, Ruthless, Lucky in the armour to make space for it there?

Golden Ensnare.

Losing destructive dmg but should be a perfect supporting weapon against special walkers, combined with Tactical/Primed armor and WKN trait  💯
(Don't really need Razor anymore with Weakening).

I think wide arc on bruiser/scout weapons is one of the stronger and simpler ideas for closing the gap between infused melee weapons and special functionality melee weapons, right? The ‘problem’ seems to be that the special functionality weapons are so great there’s no way any combination of four normal traits can compete with them. Which, as far as problems go, is a pretty good one to have

I know right? And then there's ranged... I'm wracking my brain to think up some pay-only ranged weapons that will be better than the free crap we already have and it's... 🙆🤷

I wondered if part of this very nice ‘problem’ (and I don’t want to sound ungrateful, it really is a luxury of a problem) can be traced back to the perfect synergy of Sasha/Princess/Yumiko leader traits. Did ranged get catapulted so far ahead of melee that it was necessary to make insanely brilliant special functionality melee weapons just to give them a chance to catch up to the levels ranged teams can reach with relatively normal weapons? Saviour Handgun is 4 traits and is awesome, so is RAR. So now infused melee weapons aren’t going to stand a chance to keep pace.

I’m almost tempted to hope the developers just retire the special functionality ranged weapons development team to focus exclusively on developing special functionality melee weapons. I’m sure they could produce great ranged weapons for a few years just with new infused weapons and new traits on current special functionality ranged weapons (Obliterator with Lucky/Cripple/Concussion would be unbelievably awesome - there’s so many options!)
