i think one of the biggest issues is the amount of resources it cost to be competitive. I think NG is going fine from an economic standpoint of Grenades and Med Kits. But maybe keep price same in shops but increase the amount we receive, obviously we are using them in GW. And as it would present more of a value I think more people would spend gold.
Additionally would your coding allow GW to always be reduced healing? Let’s be honest I bet majority of players instant heal to do that level 42 map. GW is Def a huge gold dump keeping economics in check, but a reduced healing for it only would be huge for many players and again those that don’t heal might start healing
Also another thing could be allow a guild to let say 5 players play 3 rounds instead of 2? Then if someone is trying to take a break like Jayz wants then they can and someone who wants to play can. Also give guild leader ability to boot players from a certain day. Watch Tower is a big family but not top scorer as our players spread out and we don’t have a #1 guild but when we all get together we are a top 5. In my guild there are players that can benefit more from rewards than I do. If I could sit out I would to let them gain the items that will make them more addicted to the game only benefiting you.This is just my opinion and response to, but hopefully some of it can be done like reduced healing and increased in med kits and grenades. -
Agree was great to get extra kit offers 4th of July weekend & partly agree with helping players advance just not sure extra day benefits unless damage gets adjusted. Although I have said before would love to see attack balance added instead of tier matching. Think it addresses players who want to take break or vacation, and diehard GW lovers. Even # attacks spread for players would help fill all days instead of 10 -4 days because afraid of being matched +1 with 18 extra attacks

We are 3 months on from when this petition was submitted to the forum and it seems we are back to square one.
The initial response by NG was promising but has ultimately been completely ignored.

As for the pacing and schedule of Season 5 onwards, we're open to making changes, so I've initiated a poll with a couple of different options, so that we can hopefully arrive at a consensus on the ideal schedule. Please encourage all of your guildmates to vote!
After this season ends, we will also review all of the feedback and data regarding the cost aspect, so I will come back to you on this a bit later.
As for the schedule there has not been any serious attempt to come to a consensus.
You have thrust upon us the new (well actually the old) schedule based on your "data". No constructive discussion was had about this.
I think it would be obvious but apparantly it has to be pointed out that you are not dealing with "data" but in fact with human beings. Base yourself on the numbers at your own peril.
The petition was signed by 320 guilds, that's about 6400 human beings, a lot of the your most active customers.
Your response also promised to look at the cost aspect of guild wars. There has however been zero further communication regarding this other important aspect of GW.
Perhaps NG thought people would also forget about this given time. Or perhaps your "data" tell you to further ignore it.
My data therefore tell me NG has ultimately dismissed the serious concerns voiced by the community regarding GW as no significant change has been made and no real interaction has taken place.

@Mario_Romero Fluxxx answered about the changes in a previous thread, I know it probably isn't the answer you are looking for but it is an answer nonetheless. The current setup is actually the 2nd most voted request in the poll. The poll came at a time where many were extremely burnt out with GW, after a couple months of 1 war every 2 weeks (or longer sometimes) I bet many would change their vote if they could. It does sound like we have been listened to though and the changes are somewhere in between what the majority want and what NG want, so it does feel to me like a compromise.

As I said in the comment linked by WellyLuga, this poll is important, but not the sole decider nor the only source of feedback (not data), then of course our data has to be taken into account as well. It's the mix of the two that we consider.
Since this poll, we've reduced the price of Tools, and we've made their supply limited. We tried out the 1 week on 1 week off format, but we've gotten feedback against it on almost a daily basis, so we went with a compromise - something that considers both sides.
The upcoming format still has a total of 4 weeks of break time, whereas it used to be 1 week at the time of this petition, and it was also 4 weeks with the 1 on/1 off format.
So the time which can be used to accumulate resources for GW is technically the same, while the time it takes to earn points for the Guild shop is nearly halved. The intensity should be somewhere in the middle, since it's not constant pressure nor is it too spread out.
Of course, no format would please everybody, but we see this as the perfect compromise for those who need some breaks and time to accumulate resources, those who want more intensity and to get their hands on rewards earlier, as well as for us in terms of the business side. Plus this format offers more freedom to organize events such as seasonal campaigns, or player-initiated events such as NW or Wild Cup.

Sorry for the late response about this. We've discussed this before, but the only way for GW to have separate healing, is if it was distance type healing. The hospital itself can't distinguish where each injury came from and, by extension, cannot treat them differently. -

How do you think those players got burnt out in the first place?

the availability of tools for the 2nd week will be a pain since we will not have the bye week to accumulate, and yes I use a lot of tools and need the restock week.

Players were burnt out from playing GW each week for a month, 1 week off, repeat. The poll was never stated to be a deciding vote, it was to give NG an opinion of where the community was at in terms of their wishes for GW. Just because 60% of a burnt out community voted for it didn't mean that it was what was going to be implemented. You say that the petition has been completely ignored and I just think that you're wrong. It's gone from 4 weeks on, 1 week off to 2 weeks on, 1 week off, 2 weeks on, 3 weeks off. Each season has gone from running over a 5 week period to an 8 week period.
As for healing, yes, that's something I would love to see halved permanently. In the past they have run halved healing events but since GW is now spread across 6 days and covers the challenge too I guess it is something that can be costly for gold costs if it was run too frequently. -

Given that GW is staying around, how would you fix it?
18 attacks is clearly not too much, but the coordination with players in a battle across multiple time zones is a pain. If the map was completely open from the start, and sectors could be replayed, a lot of the coordination hassle goes away.
This coordination hassle does not add to NG's bottom line in any way. In fact, it hurts NG's bottom line. Players play less GW because if it. There's no good reason for these coordination hassles.
The players would be happy, and NG would make more money if GW ran more frequently if it was more fun to play.
GW should be made better. Playing less of it is not a fix.
Reducing gold costs to heal is not in NG's best interests. What other changes would make GW better for the players? -

@ghost_pepper trouble with that is there is currently no way to heal from red to green (and guess that’s in the coding) and that’s where the majority of the issue is. No one really minds paying the 8 gold for an injured but the jump to 24+ is huge. I’ve never understood why it increased so much in the first place.@ATLAS-Z The difference in healing is based on the difficulty of the mission you are attempting. Or at least that’s what I’ve always been lead to believe.

It's time to make 50% treatment and open more cards at the start. You can also add attacks, people will run more and spend even more gold unnoticed )) this way you will solve some of the problems. We got 50% health, and you did not lose money 💰, so we all spend gold exactly, as we run more. I'll make it easy @Fluxxx

@mir I completely agree! I spend more Gold on reduced Healing events than I do without it.

I also have a feeling i spend more gold when healing times are halved. I don't believe NG lose at all with that event but of course maybe i am very wrong.
Some compromise can always be found.
- Having halved healing times always, in days when we have both Challenge & GW to play (Wednesday-Sunday)
-Too much? Then, Having halved healing times during weekend, always, when there is GW & Challenge to be played. (would encourage people to login during weekend)
-Or, during GW weeks, just reduce HEAVY injury to half.
Some of this suggestions can be win-win situations, imo.
I don't have problems with healing during GW. I wait to heal.(It's not about spending gold but playing 18attacks in short period ends bad for me, can't keep concentration on top level)
But i don't play challenge at all that day,simply no time.
Scores in challenge during GW week drop with most players by 20/30%. So, we might spend more in GW but less in challenge and i don't think current model is good for NG either.Searching for a guild ? Join Wild Walking Family here

Good to keep this thread alive @m4s!@Lexia. If the healing time with Outposts is slightly lower compared to regular missions, logic says that you can do the same for GW. Instead of a separate hospital, why not just make it so injuries don't count? Basically, give all injured survivors a 2.5-hour healing reduction for the GW game mode and then we aren't limited in playing both the Challenge and GW on the same days. Of course, if we get injured in the Challenge, we are out of action for GW, but at least we are clear the other way around. How does that sound?
