Since its only Event to gather best of the best from our local LB, im definetly looking forward to it! Cheaters/Exploiters gonna screw only their own countrymates.

But it would be gr8 to see NG running it. Instead of community running it.

I don't mind nation wars going on, I think it's neat and keeps the community engaged.

I don't think NGs should be running it tho, their meager reserves are needed on other things.

NG was never running it and they always said that they have nothing to do with it except some little promo by in game message.

Of course that's no secret and that's a fact. 

Regardless they did not host/run any of those, that's the point. 

What you said is nor incorrect but has nothing to do with this particular point of NG having nothing to do with it except being kind enough to shout it out in the game that it's happening and always setting community chosen event for that.

I'm not.  I will of course compete if it was to go ahead but on the whole I am both a little burnt out from high level challenge/GW and my experience is also a little soured from the previous ones. Even though NG has a close eye on exploits during the event and any players caught exploiting in previous wars are banned, there is always someone caught cheating. 

The other side of it is the main people who did a lot of the work behind the scenes no longer play the game.

@bladgier no but NG can give stricter bans or perm bans during this timeframe based on what council agrees upon. NG has all the power and as far as cheating goes we have no say on it. We suffer having to deal with cheats at least 2 NW running and NG profits from it. 

That’s the real point weather you like it or not. That’s why so many were pissed.

Way I see it, I don't understand why NWs are being so much hit hard with cheating associations.
Of course there were peole cheating but that's only becasue people were keeping a close eye on it, both players and devs. 
Those cheating people scores were immidiately excluded, cheaters dealt with (not necessarily way community wanted but hey we don't own the game don't we) , there done. What's the fuss? 
Truth be told, NWs were being the most cheat guarded events becasue we all (participants) wanted it.

Going this track of though "I'm not playing NWs becasue peole are cheating", "NWs is bad becasue of cheaters" then don't play the challenge, GWs or any mode at all becasue guess what, there's always peole cheating in those, it's just that they don't get exposed as much becasue it was a community run event that like i said before had many more eyes on than usual. 
Matter of fact, don't play any game in the whole entire world becasue there's no 1 game in the world where there would be no cheaters. 

Also the NWs helped to expose cheaters that would never be found or would much much later without it.

So that's the real point whether you like it or not. 


Yes many players originally involved, organising things are no longer playing, are burned out me included but that's absolutely 100% different issiue that has nothing to do with cheating. Also there's always new blood that would want to take over. 

NWs was one of the best times I had i this game, made many friends and I'm honestly tired of people pouring down feces on it. Simply not fair and biased.

you think not instant healing to repeat 100x and using airplane mode or however it’s being done isn’t impacting gold spent? Or bundles being bought. 

I mean you’ve played how many 1000s of gold was spent? It’s a lot of rinse and repeat in hopes of dumb luck. When secondary apps or other things are used then you aren’t using gold.

then when people who are willing to spend 10-20k gold per event no longer play then well that’s less gold being burnt and less gold being purchased. So yeah it does impact them. 

My point and will stay my thought and several others that punishment during NW is too minimal. I’m not alone in this thought either

NG "may" be involved in NW if the leaders of NW work with them to set standards for that week.

I won't discuss PMs but I was told directly from an NG employee that standards can be enforced (above a 1 week ban) during Nation Wars if the facilitators make it clear to the participants what the standards are (or words to that affect).

I am not speaking for NG or anyone else but me but I trust the person who communicated this to me.

That said let's put the past items in the past. Not forget them but agree that they are no longer relevant if we can move forward with a common understanding.

This is not a USA thing or a Russia/Germany thing. With proper management and strong people enforcing rules with NG backing this event will be great. It will.

The issue is not people caught cheating being taken out of the scores necessarily (although that is a front and center issue). It opens up the argument that others my not have been exploiting enough to get flagged as well.

A 6 mouth ban would surely deter a lot of issues in my opinion. For this event credibility is huge. We don't need a SET, Alpha, Shiva etc tarnishing the event. That is one week where even play makes the most difference.

The USA team took exploits VERY seriously. I know you can't control every rooster in the hen house but we all knew everyone playing and the standard was set firmly and repeatedly on this topic. Hense USA all being above board but again things happen. We would rather lose and be credible than win with an astrix.

If the event gains credibility with NG support I think we will all see a better event.

This stance is killing the event. I will gladly join the board with whoever is in charge and make it clear to participants that exploits will be addressed with an agreed upon punishment but it needs to be 6 month ban at minimum.

I know you hate discussing this but I hope you acknowledge that we have been having this conversation for years now and a time for change is now.

Why are you fighting this so much? Setting a standard for a star challenge for 1 week should not be taxing on NG. Could you explain to me here or on PM what the holdup is?
