Give me a Guild Wars practice mode

Everyone is afraid of Guild Wars production.
They don't challenge the more difficult levels.
They don't know their limits.
Please Implement a practice mode that separates VP and RP.

By the way, I don't understand English.
Thank you Google 😘

I think you are wrong in your assessment, I know many players that are constantly testing their limits in Guild Wars, constantly evolving characters and strategies to optimize their score. It really takes several battles to hone your skills in this type of mode. Those players who have been around since GW launch will have a ton more experience, around those times it was endless missions for 50 minutes and lots of experience was gathered. Good Luck 🍀 i for one don’t think a practice mode is necessary but I can see how some mid tier would like to practice without immense pressure on them to win every attack. Cheers 🍻

It all comes down to how your guild treats failure. If you get angry at each other then it will get to a point where people won't push themselves and will instead play safe.  Encourage trying tough maps, record your attempts and give each other advice on what they could have done better.

This is a beta, it is practice mode.

@xbamfx I could personally use practice as I know I should be scoring 500-600 easily and I’m usually around 450ish.

but that’s part of thrill to me is learning the maps and better knowledge on what teams work and weapons.

Once I master GW there isn’t much left for me other than massive gold dump and end #1 in world. Everything else I’ve done. So I agree with your statement, but I am one of those mid tier players.

Welly has a great point that currents GWs beta as a whole now is test mode.

That being said, rewards are real. Every map loss is less reward points and less chance for a victory multiplier.
Everybody wants to get as many rewards as possible even if it's somewhat test mode aka beta.

Having test maps, where you can put down any walker or human enemy of any lvl you want against your own survivors and being able to play out different scenarios in no gold or points lots mode would be great. Many games have that.
Although I don't think it would ever happen here becasue it would probably hurt game income.

Every week is practice to me, improve as much as I can and prepare for the best players in the world and challenge them. Imo there is no bigger thrill in this game at this moment. I discuss with some other Mav players that I would love to see other objectives over time for ex: close the gate and lock out the horde, rescue a survivor and escape, detonate the bomb and escape etc etc. most of us were in agreement that diff tools are imminent as well. We shall see, I don’t mind sharpening my blades and wiping the blood off of Lucille.

With all due respect for your accomplishments and your guild mates as well as others in the top tier, there are more players not growing and getting more involved than are. To dismiss an idea like this is pretty short sighted.

While a practice mode for you may be a yawner , there are many who could benefit from this, and work through some of the insecurities of trying new hero combinations etc, without handing their guild a loss in GW.

I see no negatives and only opportunity for players interests in the game to heighten as they get better.

As I've had more time to spend in forum, read and watch videos thanks to covid, I have new interest in the game and improving to the next level and agree that this would be a great tool to help players do just that.

For experienced players who feel for instance they aren't getting the same benefit from Sasha's LT as they were pre update for instance, that would be a great place to test the theory.

For NG, a new resource offering could be a 3.99 practice range + unlimited gas. Just a thought.

    Thanks!

You would pay a mobile game developer $4 just to practice?
I've heard it all now 😂

This is actually a good idea. Actually there's no harm for a GW Practice map. Bear in mind, every year there are new players and some of them want to play GW but are afraid they let the guild down. There's no problem for top guilds because to be member, these newbies would have been screened off.

For NG's part, add this alongside Scavenge, Challenge, Seasons, Outpost etc. Then players get to choose Normal, Hard or Nightmare mode. The game itself will generate the type of mission available.

I'm not into paying cash for the Practice map. However, we can pay gold (e.g. 20 or 25) per mission. Similar method to resetting the Distance map.

    Just my thought.

If it meant not spending gold to heal, yes. M 24 hour gas is already 1.99.  If you had to dump gold into healing the extra 2.00 seems worthwhile. Or maybe 1.00 is fair.

    @Thun@Thunderstorm

I would be ok with that if it had free healing. GW is a big enoug hgv gold sink. My thought was free healing would require developer work which NG would want compensation for. Unlimited gas many of us buy from time to time anyway and would carry in to other areas.

One thing that has been suggested in the past is allow for a Mulligan or do over, if I play a map and lose let me replay it, allow say 1 or 2 per battle.  This would encourage players to take a chance and play a level higher than their comfort zone.  Maybe just during this BETA faze at least.

    100% Disagree

You shouldn't have to use any type of currency for a practice mode. The game I play has friendly games up to 10 competitors for every single map/mode in the game. Paying with money/gold/resources to practice is insane to me.

So you would like to see it implemented but for free? Free is perfect world scenario for me too. If that's the case then you dont 100% disagree, you disagree to 1 proposal I made in this post. I mostly disagree with it too but also appreciate the fact that I'm not clicking out of barrages of ads to play the game and that the developers need to make a buck where they can.

How about watch an ad get a practise map then? Could NG make money off that? I’ve long asked for a practise mode, where you choose types of walkers and levels to test combos/badges they said it was a good idea but didn’t have the development time to implement it as it would class as a new game mode.

Between seasons they could leave guild wars open without rewards?

I am using weekly challenge as my practice/training area.  I am evaluating my performance based on the level of difficulty that I could reach; and from there, that will be my basis on dealing what GW sector that I could possibly win without wasting my attacks.  And this approach so far is providing me to some conclusions on GW areas such us knowing my survivors level of difficulty limitation; which heroes or survivors that I still need to improved; and to think of survivor combination with their associated badges.
