Dates and Pace of GW season 5

Current season ending on August 17

I would like to know after how many weeks is predicted/planned next season to start and is it considered maybe to change the "pace" of it - maybe 2 weeks straight/midseason break/2 weeks straight @Fluxxx ?

I have no problems with current format, of course, it's way better then 4 weeks straight we had in season 3. Just checking is something decided/changed so our community can set dates for other virtual guild competitions planned to be hold in weeks when GW isn't played

I feel that the 1 week on/1 week off is too slow a pace over the course of the season. I think it would be better with 2 weeks on, 1 week off, 2 weeks on and then a longer period off during the 'off season'.

Hey! Glad you asked :) So now that we've had a taste of the 1 week on, 1 week off format, we have more feedback and data to work with. We've just discussed this last week, and we're going to go with the mid-season break format, so: 2 weeks back to back, 1 week break, and 2 weeks back to back, then a 2-3 week break between each season.

We're ironing out the details of the schedule right now to ensure it fits with our internal schedules, so there will be an official announcement later on, but the way it's going to play out is most likely:

    - After this season ends on August 17th, there will be a one week break
    - Season 5 starts on August 24th with the above format.
    - 2-3 week break afterwards
    - 1 Season per update

A 3 week break seems excessive to me, unless the plan is to try and squeeze the season campaigns in there?

@Crocodile as I said in the same thread
We cannot guarantee that a decision will be made solely on the results of this poll, because we also have to evaluate the impact of these changes on the player base as a whole, but they will definitely help us arrange a system that addresses your concerns and better aligns with your preferences.
The poll is not the sole decider nor the only source of feedback that we get regarding GW. Then, we've also got to look what our data shows, and make a decision based on all these factors. While 1 week on/1 week off may alleviate a lot of pressure, we've constantly received feedback from players that the 1 week breaks take away the excitement and intensity of GW, and at the same time prolonging the time to reach rewards in the shop. Our data reflects a similar pattern. For many, GW is the most engaging mode, so the mid-season break is a compromise that should balance the intensity levels for endgamers, while still providing constant enough engagement for the rest.

A 3 week break seems excessive to me, unless the plan is to try and squeeze the season campaigns in there?
It is required as updates will usually fall into somewhere within those 3 weeks. It would be a bit chaotic if we started running variable schedules with updates in between. But let's see how it goes :)

Pool was hold in period when we all felt tired of not just GW but everything that was happening @Crocodile

I believe everyone who voted for break every week, wouldn't mind to change to 2/1/2

Reasons : Season last 5 weeks instead of 7, and those two weeks we "spared" can be used continuously to really take a break.
    - Many people prepare to visit other guilds between wars, meet friends, and is not possible or really messy if that is done with current format.

I don't think is possible to have 2-3 week break between seasons if we are going to have break after every war and that is very important.
Anyway wouldn't hurt to try and see
