I hope not! That's what ruined the other Walking Dead mobile game (the one based on the comics). I was going along building my camp and developing my characters, and then they forced me to start attacking other players and I was losing my resources. That's not what I wanted to do! I love that this game does not force players to fight, and allows me to develop at my own pace, without worrying about other people coming in and stealing my stuff.
That being said, if they wanted to introduce a voluntary PVP (like an arena) which was not part of the main game, I'd be okay with that. -
I understand where you coming from but "fight the dead , fear the living" a famous walking dead quote so it just nature of the lore that player fight each other for resource

I see what you're saying, but they could incorporate a 'fight other survivors' element into the game without making it other players. It could be in the storyline.
My point is, if they put in a mandatory PvP element, it will change the nature of the game, and make this one too similar to the other TWD mobile game. -
Special mission ( like prison ) where 2 or more players challenge. They will start this "random mission" where everyone have the same map, and the winner will be who finish mission with lower turn. Reward can be Gold case.....
With this kind of challenge the strategy is significant...
This kind of challenge can be for single player or guilds.... -
It def won't work like coc because the way the game is we don't attack like in coc , maybe do something where guilds set up a base and we raid each other guild base
But the game def need some kind of way for us to earn resource since this mission available Are very limit -

Sorry but pvp is reqiured. This is not hello kitty!
Suggestion: offer a buyable protection item. Or give a perma shield for free, that automatically gets removed on attacking.
The argument that this game is similiar to the other wd rts game is bullshit... iam playing both, and RTS got many problems, but pvp is none of them. Rts was killed because the developer is super greedy, team limitations were removed (spend 10000€ and you are the king out of box, no playing required if you have money), insane low dropelrates and everythink buyable (only buyable). I used to play beyond the dead before Gree shut it down. None of the pvp on that was detrimental to the offline player and in the monthly bloodbath events weak players were easy fodder for strong teams but again it didn't harm their individual progress, just meant their guild lost more battles. Pvp doesn't have to be all about stealing resources from others whilst they are offline and you raid them.

Rather pvp why not coop missions share supplies etc.? At the end of the day those with the mula$ always kill it on pvp regardless what rules are made.

not keen to PVP because really will ruined the game for all the players, since this game can be playing with no reloading any golds. Once PVP implemented, server surely will implement Golds market to buy equipment, supplies and etc. this surely only for GW (golds warriors) rule the server. then this game will like other mobile game. server 1, server 2, will shown up. If want the population of this game grow, FULL PVP element better not implement.
But can consider Guild war with some restriction conditions like using same levels and no. of survivors against walkers and other guild (PvEvP).
winning by calculating no. of walkers killed, no. of survivors survived, total % of Hp remained, no. of supplies unlocked and etc in certain turns.
Fix a time to start the war, guild member will online for the war or casually remain turns based for few hours a turn to member strategic their movements. in the war you can choose to kill survivors or walkers or may be unlock supplies.
After war according the total points of the guild gaining in the war to consider winner with a fix prizing (supplies, xp or may be random epic weapon) to all winning guild members. -

I think PVP is fine with consenting parties and only while both are online is fine. The random, offline PVP is not fun. Those that want to fight each other can and those that don't are happy as well.

All we have to do is look to XCOM (The game this is really a copy of) and we know PVP can and will work. We'll need some larger maps to do this on with a LOT more things to hide behind though. The size of Prisoner's Journey and Cellar of Doom at minimum.

The only issue is that marksman/assault is so insanly overpowered as compared to other classes. Basically whoever has 3 5* marksman will rule pvp with an iron fist, while others who keep getting scouts and bruisers will get owned over and over again... pvpat this stage in the game would be extremely unbalanced and would cause alot of ragers to quit

It's pretty easy to place group composition rules on matches! As others mentioned an Arena would be fine, but I for one enjoy playing the game on my own and prefer not to have to concern myself with PVP.
And I agree if they wanted to add a non-player Human element to battle,I'd be fine with that.
Play to Slay. Slay to live another day. Daily players. On and killing walkers as often as we can.
