Strong guilds using matchmaking exploit

Seems like some very strong guilds are taking advantage of possibility to create a new guild for a new guild wars season to reset their tier to minimum and thus getting very weak guilds in match making in first few wars. This is very unfair against those weak guilds and also these strong guilds are getting lots of gw shop points because all battles will be easy wins (1.5x points). To me this seems an obvious exploit of matchmaking system.

@Fluxxx please take a look at this comment. Its very dishonest move, espesially from top-guilds. New GW raiting was create not for beating the usual guilds by tops under a new name.

...i was wondering who was the first to post this ...it's already 1 week i have fun watching all those new guilds with old names in challenge and guild war ranks... 😂😂😂😂😅"Always be yourself unless you can be a capybara. Then always be a capybara".

To say it short @Fluxxx: the new guild tier reset was a good idea, but it just doesn’t work and should be changed asap. Doesn’t make any sense like that. So limit usage of tools in gw or delete the reset.Leader of MaggiesSweetAss

This is not a strategy, this is simply cowardice ... These guilds seem to have no dignity, they are a bunch of cowards afraid to face the great opponents.
-
They want to be champions of the GW season without facing any elite guild. They are a real joke, they may even be able to take 1st place in the ranking, but they will never be winners, they are just fearful chickens.

Best way to solve this is to increase the VP reward win bonus as the tier increases. Say 125% then 130% etc all the way up...this will penalize anyone taking advantage of the tier system.

..uhm.. i don't see a fix to this... the chance to lose games will be always higher than the chance to win every week all the matches starting a new guild every week....
then.. finally... we all know that “those top players” doesn't need anything from the Guild Shop... they already have everything.
the only valuable thing are the rewards for the not top guilds... and with this exploit they are stealing those rewards... and for top guilds the only valuable reward was fighting each others for the ranks... and they ruined this fun"Always be yourself unless you can be a capybara. Then always be a capybara".

It's a pretty obvious exploit, and this season many guilds decided to exploit it, my own guild included.
For us the reason is that GW has turned into a tool fest with the current setup, and as you may know, I have made several threads about this problem already a long time ago. All the top guilds can win all the hardest islands, and the season winner in such a match will be the one throwing the largest amount of tools. So we decided to not go down that road.
I again urge NG to put in a tool cap. There are several options, the one perhaps getting most support is to limit tools to 18 per battle. That way you can use a large number of tools when you get an especially nasty mission, but you need to mainly do missions closer to your real "no-tool" level. This could also result in interesting battles where some guild might go into too hard islands and en up losing to a guild playing more conservatively.
I've also made several posts about the bad matchmaking, and NG's half baked solution (which, as noted, is wide open for exploitation) should get a full overhaul. My own suggestion is to instead of using guild points at all, the game should simply take the average score of each player signed up, and match them to another team with a similar average score. This would also fix the other problem a lot of guilds face, that their A team get easy matches, while their B, C and D team get crushed every time.Ingame username: Jubjab -
I am on vacation, cooling my ass in jacuzzi, drinking cold beer and taking a giant piss on this broken system and whole season... and must say i am largely disappointed you needed WHOLE WEEK to start commenting about our move. I lost a few bets by saying that crying will start on Tuesday...
Who is upset about this makes me just even more glad and happy. What Wild Walking did is a protest, boycott of this ridiculous game mode with insane pay to win playing field. We don't care about "winning" this or any other season while tool economy isn't fixed or tool usage per mission stay infinitive. So, those "honorable:, strong, almighty untouchable guilds can enjoy their tool war and just ignore us. Most of WW guilds will disappear from LB DURING the season.
Most of you didn't like or approve even when we won the season playing by the rules so why should i ever bother what this community thinks. Look at your backyard first, i am little nervous knowing so many of you watching every move of us. Are we that popular ?Searching for a guild ? Join Wild Walking Family here

@Karajoca you really think that this post is only about your guild? it has become a trend. I dont care about reasons why or what for such guild do this - for easiest way to get high score or as you wrote because of protest - the fact is that more and more tops will do this name changes what inflicts more loses for ordinar guilds and players.
-
Yes and therefore NG will definitely need to do something. Next season WW will go back to the real WW guild, so unless the issue is fixed, next season this will happen all over again.Ingame username: Jubjab

I feel bad for small guilds that are FTP. They miss out on the bonus guild war points after losing to a protesting big guild.
-
Here is an example of the exploit in action... not sure how this is a "protest" to the game mode. This only discourages new and developing players to stick with the game.
-
It's hilarious these protesters are still participating in the top of the leaderboards. 😂😉 We don't need anymore reason for people to leave this game and getting stomped after using resources against a guild you should of never been matched up against isn't helping anyone. If something is broken breaking it further is not a solution. It's just makes you part of the problem.

I agree with you! They could simply "protest" using no tools and yet still face large opponents, even if they suffered some defeats, it would be more dignified and honorable than to slaughter small guilds. -
I understand the frustration of GW becoming “Tool” Wars, but it seems to me that just staying where you are and NOT using tools is the simplest solution. Especially if being on top of the leaderboard is not a concern. Are the maps easier in a lower tier and I am not aware of it? The only reason for forming a “new” guild, that seems logical to me, is so tools can be saved for the higher tiers when facing stronger opponents. It’s like intentionally losing in a double elimination tournament so you can skate through the losers bracket to the championship game. Is it within the rules, sure. Is it cool to the lesser teams that may have made it higher in the tournament, nope.
-
Real protest would mean a boycott to the game mode, stop using any gold and stop investing cash. Still pushing to the top of the LB is just ridiculous.Leader of MaggiesSweetAss

..lol... @Karajoca ..protesting in a jacuzzi while being in the top of the ranks while playing easy 1 tier guilds without tools and also stealing this way their rewards... 😂😂😂😂
I would like to protest because some players buy tons of gold to play perfect Challenge scores... any suggestion about a way to ..”protest”?"Always be yourself unless you can be a capybara. Then always be a capybara".

100% support by me to @Karajoca and his group.
I will lose with honor to Wild Walking to improve this situation.
Stop the tools madness @Fluxxx

I get the idea of the protest but don’t get why a new guild was needed for it to be effective?

Stop the tools madness @FluxxxScrew the little guy out of rewards so they will voice their outrage and then NG will listen. It’s like a stealth protest. That is some serious next level stuff! -

The master tier head start is such a bullshit move by NG anyway. On the face of it, they make out so it's to avoid mismatches that might discourage players starting out. But really it's so they can force the crazy match ups between the top guilds sooner, the matches that cost hundreds of tools that line NGs pockets. The longer it takes for these matches to become a daily event, the less money NG makes.
I know we aren't the only ones but I do apologise to any low level guild (including poor Merle who scored a whopping 500) we have beaten this week but many of us are fed up of this tool heavy, P2W joke of a game mode. So it was either continue as we were, keep spending the tools trying to compete for little gain, stop using tools and likely lose nearly every battle against guilds throwing fistfuls of cash at the game, or we do this and remove ourselves from the situation. Once this week has finished we will be a long way off the top, by week 4 we will be miles off.
We didn't do it to try and sneakily get top spot, the highest island we did all week was 12. We didn't do it to stomp on the little guilds. We did it as a massive 🖕 to the P2W joke NG has turned the gamemode into -
I still don’t understand this logic. Why not just stay where you were and not use tools and take the losses by tool using guilds?
