Yumiko - Is she overpowered

So it appears that pairing yumiko with Sasha/princess/both it’s possible to stay constantly charged and get 2-3 root attacks with Sasha. Is this a game breaking leader trait?

I’ve seen some discussions in various places about her leader trait and I’ve done videos where I’ve used her aswell and I personally think she’s a bit overpowered in my hands. However in more skilled players hands she is an absolute monster. I’ve seen players clearing island 20 with no redos and no tools using a Sasha yumiko assault team on all types of missions. That can’t be what was intended was it?Then there’s the fact they are doing this when she is only epic...
Im not too fussed either way, I probably won’t use her too much as I don’t find it a particularly enjoyable way to play. (Except on nightly visitors that was fun)
I also can’t see how they could nerf her and for her to retain some semblance of usefulness.Let’s try and keep this civil and get some good feedback for NG. -
For the vast majority of the players in the game I see no issues with Yumiko, it always seems to come down to the best of the best players vs. all other players when determining what is overpowered. IMO the best of the best will find a way to use any resource to its max and do things no one else is capable of, it is the tools argument in a different package. Whether it is Beta, Yumiko, Stabby Rick, Prowling Daryl or tools they all have or had their movement. For me they have just given me a reason to continue to enjoy the game by learning new skills and approaches to the game and they definitely have not broken it for me.

After the failure of the update of the shooters and the changes in the skills (lethal) that have not finished working either (its my opinion)... personally I think it should not be touched. Why? Right now with Yumiko there is the possibility of playing high levels with ranged characters without starting loaded.Note: I don't have Yumiko to save gold (I regret it). my comments are based on videos shared by fellow clan members.

It's nice NG gave us a good shooter. It will help a lot of F2P players and the low to mid range player's. Why do a couple of endgamers always get the say on everything.

For the first time in a long time I am excited to use a ranged team again. For me Yumiko has brought balance back to the game. I guess I am a mid range player. I get 2-2.1k stars per challenge on average. In the Dead of the Night was the first I have used a ranged team in quite awhile. I used Sasha and Yumiko on two of the maps and I earned 2489 stars. They helped tremendously, but I kept going because it was fun to play with a different team.

For years shooters were fairly useless. now finally have one worth upgrading. You shouldn’t nerf her simply because the better players will do better with her. I say leave her alone.

Don't change her. First shooter I've started to use during challenges in a long time. I've always been melee because they are superior for my style of gameplay. It's nice to have a change of pace, if she gets changed I'll simply not waste my time upgrading her, and go back to the same ole melee...zzzzzzz

Do I want her nerfed: No
Do I think it'd be better for the game meta and strategy to nerf her: Absolutely
Will the community respond positively to nerfing: Hell no
Will NG want to nerf her anyway and risk upsetting people and losing potential radio bundle sales: Unlikely.
If her power was about stats I'd be in favor of nerfing, but since it's not I doubt it can be done without ruining her LT completely.

You could make it so that one ally nearest the target OR nearest to Yumiko also fires on the target, rather than both?
I'm good with her as is, but this is the only nerf I can think of that doesn't completely destroy her.
Or just leave her as is and let's have fun.

I think she is without question overpowered. If you look at the high level strategies that are now possible with her, compared to any other strategy without her one is much, much stronger than the others. Requiring less luck/tools but I like that side of it, it does level the playing field a lot. I gave up caring about the competitive side of things a long time ago though but I do see why those that do think she should be nerfed. With Yumiko I can compete at higher levels with less gold/tools needed.
I think NG designed her trait thinking about boosting ranged attacks to make them more viable but didn't realise the impact it would have upon heroes like Sasha and Princess. The only nerf I could get behind isn't directly related to her trait but it would be to block the use of 2 charge attacks in one turn. Sasha couldn't root twice in the same turn like she often can using Yumiko. It would also allow NG to bring back the event where ranged charge attacks were earned with -1 charge point and would nerf tools a little as this is an advantage you get with grenades. -
Please, no! I’ve barely started experimenting with her! I don’t want my new toy broken before I even have any fun.

One charge per round also helps satisfy @Firekid tool lassoing
And I did enjoy that event (even if I didn't get to play it before Shooters were nerfed out of it)

Yes, she is overpowered but not only because of her trait but also because princess LT, harpoon and decimator.Limit turns that player have to complete map and combinations involving Sasha/Yumiko/Princess(assaults) would disappear. We will sort OP of Yumiko, Princess, harpoon and decimator in one shot.

I like welly idea because it addresses a larger problem of multiple charges in one round, without specifically attacking Yumiko.

Which gun is everyone using with Yumiko in the lead with Harpoon Sasha and Decimator Princess? I have used the Crippling Bow, but I'm open for ideas.

Advance player: I'm so great that everything is too easy. Nerf her!
Mid range player: Finally I have a chance to use my shooters and to actually advance.
New player: what are they talking about. -
Yumiko nerfed new cripple she uses a flare gun.

Anyone who easily finish 80 rounds of the challenge every week without using Yum Yum please share some insights. Idk any of those who complain that she is too OP actually finish the challenge

Another option is this:
When Yumiko attacks, only allies without action points left (they already took their turn) will activate with Firing Squad.

My thinking for how yumiko should be nerfed without becoming totally useless is :
1. Lt works only when she is charged
2. Lt will work with shooters and hunters but NOT with assaults . -
I think 6 roots and finish charged would be max? Yumiko lead with another shooter both charged . Sasha uses root, yumiko attack, Sasha root, other shooter attack Sasha roots, yumiko shoots again Sasha roots, other shooter, Sasha roots, throw grenade, Sasha roots and charges up. Suppose you could get seven if you got hilltop maggie to activate her leader trait for first shot..,

She's fine. I used her in sector 20 today and got through without tools or a bruise. You still need to strategize movements and order of attacks to maximize her, especially with Sasha and Princess, which is who I use her with. I did get 3 Sasha Root attacks and 18 total attacks in one turn. But you have to be careful too, because when you kill something, the rest of the team won't use a free attack. So there is lots to consider when using her and I think that makes it fun. Plus, as someone who is not a fan of tools, I like that she helps minimize the need for them.
