Can yall please create a way to earn tool bag items by playing the game. Paying 12.99 for 8 is a RIP off.

    There's already two ways to do that. You can earn 13 tools weekly for free by doing dailies and Nightmare Distance, and you get free tools every monday as well.

    17 are available for free per week if you count nightmare distance, dailies and the 4 free we get. If you're sensible with your gold spending you can normally earn a few hundred gold per week to buy tools in the black market too. Every 500 gold you spend there also gives you enough to buy some tools with the BM tokens when they show up too. Then you have what you can buy with GW RP and also the ones we get in the quarterly events.

    Things are much better now but improvements still need to be made to close the gap a little.

    12 tools from distance (400 gold for distance reset / X2)
    7 tools from daily every day 
    4 free every Monday
    BM trades might get 2 tools every week
    So 21 free tools every week
    Also possible to get tools from weekly challenge  B)

    That's 11 for me.  I don't do nightmare distance and the trades are prohibitively expensive in bm. They cost more to buy with gw points than you get from using them in gw to win the points to buy them = bad investment. 

    I love how everyone seems to have different numbers on this. The point is that they cost too much.

    Everyone's numbers are correct. They're just including different things. I limited my answer to the original definition "earn tool bag items by playing the game", so I didn't include the ones you get for free just by claiming in the TG shop.
