Hazard Trait: Not Working

Hi Guys,
I go by Pip in the game and have been playing it
since 2017. It's been great so far. Despite the occasional complaining,
the fact is this is the mobile game I have played the longest

I
would like to report a long time bug related to the Hazard Suit. As
text reads, all attacks have a 20% chance to be body shots. The problem
is this is NOT true for Tanks, Goos and Spiked. Their attacks are NEVER
body shots so it's impossible to avoid their attacks, at higher levels,
unless you have Eugene's LT. That one seems to work.
Meaning
that, attacks of regular walkers Level 40 and more can be completely
avoided (if dodge activates) but attacks from the special enemies I
reported above cannot.
So, in accordance with the text below
"all attacks", this is a bug and I would appreciate if it could be
fixed, as I imagine it's not that complicated to address.
Thanks in advance.

Could I get some response here? I know everyone only cares about SPY these days but I personally use other teams that alike benefit from this trait working properly!

ok here's a very quick way to demonstrate this
when you get hit a critical hit you will never able to dodge it even you have 100% dodge on it m with this trait it will turn that attack to a bodyshot and reduce a huge amount of damage but if you have dodge with you , you will take no damage that's why Eugene dodge so much because of his LT turn the critical hit to normal hit then the Hazzard trait turn it to a bodyshot -

Yes, and since Body Shot NEVER activates for these special enemies, you can never dodge, except using Eugene. The trait needs to be fixed!

I am pretty sure I've dodged plenty of attacks from tanks and spikes with out Eugene, it just happens more frequently with him.

I tested this out on a Last Stand mission. I used Gabriel and Morgan and I didn't notice any body shots until the end when my Morgan was attacked by a fatty, "body shot" and then "stun avoided" popped up, then Morgan was attack and killer by an armored walker, so I believe the body shot was from the Fatty. However, Morgan was my last survivor and some whacky things can happen when your survivors die or the mission ends, so this is obviously insufficient evidence. I'll continue to keep an eye out.
-
Who was your leader and what level was the fatty?
Out of 10 attacks from regular high leveled walkers, usually 2 are body shots. I never ever had a body from a tank. If the probability exists it is surely 1%! 😂 -
My leader was Survivalist Rick, the tank was lv 40, and my Morgan is 3 pink. My Gabe and Morgan were probably attacked at least 10 times combined by a spike or tank, so the fact I didn't see anything else does make me believe you could be correct.
-
ThanksTry to test more with levels that have tanks, Goos or Spiked. You will see that characters will often get body shoted by regular walkers, inc armored and metal head but never the big guys.

Sorry for the delayed response, but to add to the discussion:
The Hazard suit trait either turns a normal hit to a body shot, or a critical hit to a normal hit. If enemies are significantly higher, they will always hit you with a critical hit (unless you have Pink stars), which means Hazard suit will only make those Normal hits.
I hope this clarified things 🙂 -
Good to see this thread bumped now, when there is a suitable challenge mission to test this. Video below.
I took Gabriel and Negan on the Breach, and let them get pounded by the tanks. Both had gold Hazard armors and a good amount of Dodge (table below). Gold hazard means 20% of the hits should be body shots, and with the guys almost 50% dodge that means around 10% of hits should be dodged completely.
Of a total of 31 hits received, not a single one was a body shot and not a single one was dodged.
Based on this I fully agree that there is some mechanic with tanks (and I would assume Spikeys and Goos as well) that means hazard suit is not at all considered in the hit calculation.
@Lexia please have a look at this with the devs.

And there should still be a chance to dodge after Hazard Suit turns a Critical Hit into a Normal hit. Remember this fancy chart @Fluxxx made:

I am happy to see this is getting attention.
Attacks of tanks, spiked and goos are never body shots. It’s as simple as this.
And makes you wonder: if an attack from a tank was a body shot, would it still stun? Would a spiked still cause bleed?
You know I think the game just doesn’t know how to handle their attacks… if you think of it their attacks, even when critical deal relatively low damage which is weird. I mean a critical hit does 2600 damage and a regular attack does 2300? It’s just weird! -
Well that is by design. Special walkers' critical hits do the same damage as normal hits. I think this is due to hits on stunned targets always being automatically critical, so it would be too devastating first getting stunned by a tank and then get crazy damage from it. So that's not strange.
But yeah, the reason is probably that since a body shot would not stun apparently special walkers are not able to make body shots at all, so the hazard suits' ability to change a hit to a bodyshot is not considered at all.Ingame username: Jubjab -
I say we leave this alone
If they fix it and we start getting crushed by these heavy walkers only to spare the occasional Body Shot that would suck.
My opinion.

Body shot and Critical hit damage are entirely different things so I don’t see any reason to not fix this.Ingame username: Jubjab

Body shot can be dodged… we could dodge tanks and spikes if this were to work as it says.
-
If love to hear and update on this even to hear that it’s being investigated @Lexia only because from your last message it seemed to be a bit of a case closed message. Poor @PP1990 has been complaining about this for over a year now and with some solid proof now it would be good for it to be fixed if possible.
-
If we have a challenge where we have only tanks like barbecue I can record a video and share it!
-
It’s not like there’s any more evidence needed. We just need a simple fix to this. Regular walkers can also never bodyshot (unless hazard) so just make tanks follow the same rules. Yes, there would be cases where a tank hits you and it doesn’t result in a stun (i.e. when hazard kicks in) but so what? It’s not like it would be game breaking, rather on the contrary as it would give melee a very minor boost.Ingame username: Jubjab

Hi and hello,
So just to clarify; Goo, Tank and Spiked Walkers never body shot. This is how it has been coded and how it is intended to work.
We will look into the description of the Hazard Suit trait to make it more clear on that part 🙂 -
Damn! Not the answer I was hoping for but at least it answers the question. Thanks for looking into it and clarifying!
-
Thank you. It’s clear now but it’s a shame we don’t make tanks and others body shot.

Since we're not hippocrates, right @Lexia ? 😉 😇 -
So this trait on this armor truly is 99% useless as I suspected (1% is for vs pvp bruisers)
