Support - Mask

I have an issue with it. It's not working as I believe it should be.

Everytime we herd, afterwords herded walkers move first and then non-herded walkers move next. This allows with herding to "box in" or clog a choke point with herded walkers. Stunned walkers and regular heros do the same thing. A great example of how this works would be on Getting Burnt this week. We can stuff the choke on the bottom row with stunned and herded walkers preventing the walker hoard from moving forward if we aren't ready for it.

When herding with Mask, the herded walker does not move first and then non-herded walkers move after. Walkers closest to your hero seem to have this priority and the herded walker with mask then can't find it's way towards you because you've already been grabbed.

This is probably only a few lines of missing code or values that weren't set properly. I would expect this fix should be pretty easy.

I’m not sure that’s 100% accurate, pretty sure the walkers still move in their “usual” order. As in closest walkers move first. Be that herded with beta or with mask, however with mask you aren’t always herding the walkers closest to you so it’s more obvious. I’ve got a video of a tank moving before a herded walker which screwed me right over! 2.10 in https://youtu.be/ZDrZkQ4iopE

Agree with @Firekid, there is no priority for herded walkers. Closest always move first. The only exception seems to be when you have a 4 levels deep stun wall, like this (W=walker)

    Survivor W1 W2 W3 W4

If you kill W2, its place will be taken by W4 and not W3 as you would expect. I guess somehow this is due to W3 waiting to walk into the place of W1 but not sure exactly why it works like this. If you kill W1 its place will be taken by W2.

I think it's due to "targeted" end-movement tile of walkers. These targets are locked at the end of our turn.

Same as with the 2nd or 3rd survivor not being attacked by a walker, if it targets the leader at the end of the turn but lends right next to another survivor.

Whatever is going on, mask doesn't seem to be working like with herding walkers and I expect that it would. It's supposed to be the same game mechanic. When using mask, you can gain a charge point if Beta LT.

Can someone please speak NG's language so this can get looked at?

However it works and the order of the walkers I think we can all agree that it is pure garbage to use in it's current form. Half the time I use it the furthest walker possible is herded and it is totally unhelpful!
