Governor is the worst star hero so far

At least with Abe he had a slight damage boost.

Uncharged governor, and on this map set, is awful. I'm 3 mm's in and I'm already done with him. It's like playing a mission with only 2 heros.

The thing is, it's so bad that then I start getting frustrated with the degree of how bad it is. It's not just something I casually think "oh well this sucks" and then move on from. It's so bad that that I feel compelled to come here to the forum and tell the truth about how bad it is. Star hero is supposed to be fun at least in some limited capacity, but this is the opposite. Any good-will recently built up has kinda gone out the window, first with a disappointing Mercer Ax not functioning as described and now this.

This experience is so sour that someone just had to tell you the truth @lexia.

Honestly, it's not that bad. At least I have developed my Governor a bit (to help with scavenge missions). Most of the Star Heros are characters I haven't worked on at all, so they are barely gold. The vast majority of the time the other 2 heros are carrying the star hero. So it's not *that* different this week.

If you have the DAR with Piercing give it to him. It hasn't been that bad getting to the mid forties with Zeke and a regular scout with threat reduction. However, Governor definitely should've started charged considering his LT does absolutely nothing. He probably should've been the Star Hero for boom barrel if NG had no plans to add anything to his LT. 

How is Mercer's Axe not working?

Ok ok, so after a brief moment of weakness... I, cracked knuckles, found a quiet place, put my big boy ATLAS pants on and plowed thru my double rounds with Super-duper-star-hero-THE-Guv. Only one more fail I think and honestly it wasn't that bad. I'll likely carry on at least till mid 60s with the one-eyed, trench coat sociopath. 

The 40s was a lot of Gov-Zeke-PGG

The 50s more of the SHPY. 

Can be done folks, but it takes a little focus and LOT of...

i think the point is not if it is possible, but if the star hero contributes anything  and make other tactics work through smart use of his leader trait.

suregoverner canbe used if your other 2heros can carry the map.

but governer itself is just balast. even non heros without lt are better since they start charged and have a fifth trait.

i did totally expect that governer would have gotten an lt change before using him as star hero. 

this is like sending a child into war without any appropriate  skills
