1. There is literally no other way to upgrade the current harpoon gun
2. It needs something to separate itself from the other two HG iterations (it'll probably replace no threat for incendiary) 
3. The gun is literally red and has flames painted on it (flaming crossbow-like)

In the video they said it has the same traits as the current favorite Harpoon Gun which is large caliber, lucky, destructive. So I'm anticipating it's the same gun with the new skin? For collectors who are into that kind of thing?

Infused lucky, incendiary, ensnare, cripple. Gold wide, gold destructive, silver lethal, special functionally of being silent, tactical and roots on charge attack with a second shot.

But with gold primed and gold interrupt, you have a ~90% chance to survive a hit every turn.

Seriously why not have a freeze weapon? Hit any walker with a freeze charge attack and if you follow up on the same turn, it automatically shatters them, regardless of their HP

Well it appears I was wrong. The gun is just a re-skin
