“extra” exits in The Distance

i searched for an answer but couldn’t find it, why are there extra exit areas just to the right of the playing field, just out of sight on some missions? you can see the corner of it. always wondered why.

It's a visual glitch. Been like that for years

thanks! i thought it might be some secret game play feature. i wonder why they just don’t fix it.

It's part of how the game works. The extra exit is needed to make your survivors run away from the exit (and not stop there like in other missions). The idea was that this extra exit would not be shown, but phones have become wider since they designed the Distance so now some of these exit have become visible.
