Tyreese With a Machine Gun

During an outpost raid I encountered Tyreese with a machine gun. I didn't think Warriors could have that kind of weapon. Is this new?

Sure it was the Hero Tyreese and not a regular survivor that looked like him and was named after him?

Maybe a way to confirm is to look at your Outpost log and see if your opponent had a warrior in their lineup or an assault.
