I've got the Blues ☂️😢 - Black Market Idea

The Black Market hasn't had an update in forever, nor has the trade shop for that matter.

In this stage of the game I'm imagining the Developer is under a lot of pressure to come up with new and interesting weapons and gear. And then to turn around and give those away for FREE in the Black market or guild shop must be a difficult choice?

Well @Jeroen @Pablointhehouse and long while back, NextGames used to occasionally put out lower (4 star ⭐) rarity versions of premium gear. I'm not sure why they stopped, but I think the black market (and other areas) could benefit from bringing blue gear back.

If you put out a brand new Gold Legendary version of the Morningstar or Decimator, at the same time add a blue epic version to the black market, for 500 gold or 3k black market tokens.

In the Campaigns, in the slot for "random gold gear", instead offer premium blue gear like a blue riot shield and blue lucky bruiser armor (for example). 

Bring Back the Blues!

(ps I don't need this but lots of players would LOVE it!!)

I would like to point out that having good weapons in the Black Market can actually be a good thing for sales. I haven't purchased anything in over a year, but what convinced me to buy a few bundles was seeing something in the BM that I wanted to spend gold on.

Maybe a kidney or a liver? Or some limited edition air Jordan's?

Have to disagree with you here, friend. An Epic Mercer’s Axe or Morning Star would have slightly lower base stats and the Destructive bonus would be 40% instead of 60%. But otherwise it’s still Mercer’s Axe or Morning Star. 500g for these is too cheap. 

Lucky Winter Bow and Decimator would go to 15% Lucky instead of 20%.

Crescent Edge would go to 50% Threat Reduction instead of 75%.

Epic weapons and armours are very close to being as good as legendary ones, there’s not much in it at all.

What makes these weapons great is the special functionality, not the percentages on the traits.

Legendary Daryl’s Hunting Knife is currently in black market for 750g. Not sure if many buy it but that’s a pricing reference for how much gold an epic special functionality weapon is ‘worth’

I still think its a waste...at the  end of the day its always going to be replaced ... its not just the gold but also the experience points...I did say weapons not armour

Hey buying any weapons even with real money from the bundle shop is a waste if you use this logic. Since everything will eventually be given out for free through Guild Wars or some other mode.

The idea behind the blue gear was to make certain premium weapons and armor available to the free to play group much earlier. Instead of having to wait a year or more to get your hands on premium piece of gear, you'd be able to get it almost immediately.  And the Gold version could come out for free after a year or however long they normally take. You'll still get your hands on it if you are a patient person. And if you still don't want to waste the gold or whatever other resource on blue and would rather wait it out to get free gold gear, then that's the choice you could make just like we make the choice to spend real money or not. But having the option available I think would make a lot of players very happy.

When I was ftp the first purchase I made was the flaming crossbow pistol on the bm..I saved up ages for it and was so happy to have a legendary weapon..There's noway I would waste gold on a blue weapon as gold is so precious to a ftp player.I understand your point about getting early access but I Personally would rather wait...End of the day I agree bm needs a refresh of more recent gear I even made a post about it which you commented on I just think gold over blue is worth the wait.

@Griplee and that's 100% ok. But I do think there's great value in adding early access blue versions of new premium gear. Maybe not appealing to everyone, and they (like you) could simply decline it. But some would find it quite nice I assure you. And I'm not just talking about the black market. They could offer it in events, trade shop, or even Guild Wars or seasonal campaigns ( in place of the generic legendary gear for example).

For example, in this slot instead of generic legendary Scout gear with random traits that will most likely be garbage, they could offer a blue version of the Scout armor that is currently in the Guild Wars shop, and a blue version of Mercer's Axe or the tenderizer. This is just an example

Yeah I absolutely agree if the items were available  by other means instead of gold then they would be great for newer players

Means other than gold, AND for gold. Both. Not just one or the other 👌😏

I’d like to see some more weapons exclusive to the BM. Like the Lethal Morning Star. I think that’s the only one.
