Back Alley Problem

When the raiders start on the far right and the hunter is behind the fence, it becomes extremely unlikely to get past this map with 3 stars without a lot of luck at high levels (Round 51+). It is easy to take care of the bruiser and scout, but the hunter goes into hiding and the only way to get to him is to move into his overwatch range. Then, you are taken to the red when he shoots you. Even if you light him on fire, he doesn't burn out like walkers do.

This really sucks. I hope they redesign the map and hunter movement so this doesn't keep happening. The only thing you can hope for is stunning the hunter early on with critical aim or blast grenade. Or keep fleeing until the map gives you the raiders on the left side. It is a waste of gold to heal unless you don't mind waiting 2+ hours.

Sure, I'll go in without doing the Master Mission. Can I get my healing gold back after I do that? :sunglasses:

Had similar issue. Hunter behind fence appeared on fire but not taking damage. I keep going in expecting this spawn. I’ve had success outranging him with a Starbound at the bottom of the map, getting ranged heroes in place while there are still zombies on the map and not moving to trigger overwatch, also going in with someone who has max DR to soak up the overwatch, although I keep getting the “good” spawn.

Ugh. First three times the raiders started on the left. The one time they started right, I got a lucky stun on the hunter and he didn't get a chance to move behind the wall an hide. 24 gas wasted. :disappointed:

On my last round, cleared up to the Hunter. Used dog to cripple, preventing over watch, in range of warrior to stun forever.

You still need to see him on the map to cripple, right?

I have a video with the hunter hiding out, but it won’t post here. Using my phone. May try again on my PC later. I’ll look to add screen grabs from the video.

Edit: added screen grabs. First shot is hitting the hunter. Second shows after he moved out of sight. Several turns later I move up with Jesus hoping for wall cover to help. Still gets shot on overwatch and goes red. 2 Stars.

@Governator yes he has to be visible to be crippled with Dog.

Make sure you do all that in 1 turn - expose him by moving to the bottom spot, then cripple with Dog right away.

Otherwise if you expose him first and then wait another turn, there's a chance hunter freeman will move to the far left spot that's not visible and will camp there.
