Is there a way to connect IOS and Android progress??

As the title said ... Is there anyway to connect IOS and Android ??
It seems that connecting to facebook has no effect whatsoever

Facebook is there for social features. Currently it's not possible to link accounts cross-platform but we're working on it.

If I buy a new phone how can I make sure my progress is saved to pick back up on my new phone?

If you do not change your platform (ios or android), the progress is saved via gamecenter (ios) or play now (android).

So if my iPhone goes Down and I have to buy a new one all I have to do is connect to gamecenter and download the app and it'll have my same setup as the old one?
