Might be interesting or totally irrelevant for you guys, but sometimes our plans include multiple options on the same day, meaning that we can't announce it beforehand because we don't know which idea is going live or not until we have the previous day results. Also, we often swap events to address some of the player's request we receive.

With the Halloween event, we ran only known events, so we knew what to expect. With this one we are trying something different, so we intentionally decide not to announce it beforehand.

I understand that knowing what's coming up next might decide your purchase and it's definitely friendlier to the player, but, as NerfZone187 said, the bundle itself has a good value already.

One thing that we are already doing, even if nobody asked for it, is that we never run a 1-minute gas event in the same week we offer the 1-week boosters bundle. So at least this one can be crossed from the list.

So, wouldn't it be a smart move by NG to offer the exact same $15 bundle on Thanksgiving once details of the event are released? Think about it...you will have gathered the data for how many people purchased the bundle PRIOR to knowing the specifics of the event (not me) and then you will have an entire new set of data to compare to any given Thursday of previous weeks. I'm certain that you will see the trend is that players who are informed, spend more. I know I would purchase the $15 bundle, provided that the Thursday and weekend events aren't lame, which I don't expect them to be. I also know that I'm not alone when I say I won't purchase any weapon bundles with unknown traits, at ANY price. Many of my guild mates have said the same thing. It all comes down to whether or not a player/person is willing to part with their money and take a chance on something unknown, and I believe most aren't. All it takes is ONE time of them being unsatisfied/disappointed with their purchase for them to not spend money on the game again for a long time. That is avoided entirely when details are known up front.

On the topic of value...I would argue that this $15 bundle isn't a good value to me, since I don't know the week's events. As a side note, I DID purchase the Halloween bundle for $20 because I knew I could/would use the bundle. I'm not willing to take a chance and make a purchase only to be disappointed with the weekend event. Then I would feel compelled to play just to get some use out of the bundle that I took a chance on purchasing and I wouldn't be enjoying the game while playing it. Also, someone might have only a single day to play this week due to the holiday, travelling, etc. and a $5 combo 24 hr gas and XP booster would be of greater value to them than spending the $15 and getting the same amount of playtime. Or, something might be a good value, but too expensive. Take for instance the frequently offered $100 crafting bundle. In my opinion, that's way too expensive, even though it is clearly the best value. If that bundle were scaled down exactly to 1/10 or 1/5 the size NG would see so much more money from player purchases. I will never, EVER purchase the $100 bundle, but I would likely purchase the $10 one EVERY time.

Just my two cents. That's all I had. Now I am centsless.
