Loving the 30 gas trade deal.
Can you make it possible for guild members to trade xp and supplies with each other for gold? That would help the lower and higher level players alike. -

i have a request to all of you. cant we just show who we are? i think it would be extremely interesting to see from whichvdirection the suggestions are coming.
talking only about eaches play lvl and avr. stars. to make a start:
i am lvl 70 and reach 1600-1700 stars/ challenge -
I see that the intention by NG to "stop the grind" is only going in one direction: Stop the challenge grind.
In my humble opinion the supplies and xp grind is far worse.
Where grinding trough challenge levels at least accomplishes that every level you complete gets you closer to the challenging part of the challenge, the supplies and xp grind is completely mindless.
Every update you need to spend your complete stock on upgrading the council. This upgrade does nothing except allow you to upgrade other buildings. This done you think: now i can save to upgrade my training grounds.
Nope. First you must complete some useless upgrade to a building such as the scavenger of the radio tent (yes, i think some 20 odd million in supplies to get 8 tokens extra two times a week is ridiculous, especially in relation to trait upgrade cost. Now if it was a 4* call, maybe that would be worth it).
Only after this can you upgrade your training grounds but are encouraged to only upgrade two survivors untill you have been able to upgrade your workshop as well.
Once all this is done you will sit on full supplies (seems supllies events always happen when you actually need them for something else of when you have none) untill it starts all over again.
The grind of endlessly sending your survivors on scavenge missions gets so mindnumbing you just repeat opening boxes and running for the exit over and over and over again, killing any sort of enjoyment that might have crept up on you.
And once you're done with that, you can do the same for xp.
You want to end the grind? Make the council upgrade 1k of scrap it alltogether.
You want to end the grind? Don't make us complete upgrades we don't care about or that are unimportant and let us get to the good stuff.
You want to end the grind? At the very least don't keep adding to the upgrade cost without ever increasing production or storage capacity.
Only then focus on the challenge grind. Only then.
Now let me go do some ...

increase food supplies please....ive played for 3 years have 100s of hrs played....still not max....its a brutal grind....$$ tho

I am sure the upgrade will come, thats ok for me. In 2015 i got threwn back 33%. Now i am at the same level again and will be sent back 33%.
The conclusion: upgrading and investing a lot of money is useless. Its like a dog chasing his own tale. Sitting on 1700 stars is the maximum i will ever get, i know in 1-2 years i will stay at the same point again.
Thats ok to me, i got it. The only logical consequens for me isto stop using a single dollar. Just playing and have fun. 1100 stars i can make easily and thanks to the new gass flood i can play for free whenever i want.
I guess a lot of causual players think the seme.

the only way i see to appease people is to split the challenge. distance has a normal mode and hard mode. have the option normal challenge reduced grind 3 rounds start later increased rewards etc. have a hard option 3 rounds start at 27 or whatever. people want reduce grind play normal people that want to play awhile play hard. leaderboard, i used to be 5th on this before i quit so i understand lost stars, but no matter what people like stelio savanaguy sbf slayer etc are still going to be legends. This way both sides can be happy and we can stop changing the challenge every other week. The only drama will be guild leaders deciding which challenge will be required. my 2 cents

Agree. This is the only way for me to consider using maybe a little money. And as guild leader you must decide. It will be discussions inside the group but that will not be a broblem in most guilds -
@kasimier Just add 33% stars onto your total if you want to know if your doing better, or just judge yourself by your peers. Would you like NG to give everyone a starting star level of 500 you'll get a bigger number by the end of it. basically everyone is in the same boat and whether you score 1700 or 70 it all depends what the best person is scoring maybe 1750 or 75 or 10 million. You do seem to be spending a fair bit of money a week to still only be getting 1750 though...

@Firekid giving stars for nothing is nonsense. But many folk have their targets... my one was 2000. I got closer and closer, then ng decided to take away a third and make it more difficult. That happens now and again and again...As i said... History repeating.
If not some ideas like tiddys get ng s attention.
And at that point i Everybody most make his own decision. Stay in the boat and invest more moey to keep on paddling in a circle or leave the boat or just keep on sittin in the boat enjoing the stream.
I know for high end players are stars not longer relevant. They want to spend more time for other contests. So why not only give them all 3000 stars, let them play 4 or 5 rounds, then they can play guild wars oroutpost or candycrash.....

@kasimir I get your point that you've set yourself a target of 2000 stars but why not just adjust your target for the new rules? You aren't going in circles and are improving all the time. I personally have "nemesis's" in my guild and that's how I set my targets. Or maybe set your target for a particular difficulty level I.e beat RSL 36 or go perfect through 34 or something that's right for you. It's a shame you feel this is a kick in the teeth but NG are trying to improve this game for everyone if you look at where this game started to where it is now it has had to change and adapt to survive.

It makes much more sense to me to set a target based on the level you reach rather than stars. 2k* on the current set up is around 36.1 or 36.2 depending on how many passes you had and how many stars dropped. So aim for reaching RSL34/35/36 and up, the further you reach, the more you're progressing

Exactly @Firekid and @WellyLuga. Your star count is relative to the challenge parameters. Those have changed a lot so don't base your goal on star totals. Aim for a specific difficulty level.Leader of WATCH TOWER RoD

adapting the own gameplay to the rules is for sure the best way. i did it already. my new parameter is the hospital.
if the survivor i need is in the hospital- i have to wait.

I have a proposal for next week and continuing. Can we get the fragments and components reset to ledgenary for those who pay it for a second round. Make it worth wild for our 400 gold to reset. Make that a permanent thing to not just once in a blue moon. Plus double up the tokens as well.

@Kasimir I mean, I don't work for NG, but if they wanted to change the scoring system so it was ranked more on the difficulty level reached instead of some arbitrary star amount like it is now, I could get on board.Leader of WATCH TOWER RoD

Why only make the rewards better on a reset? I'd love to see legendary fragments in the distance but not only for players who reset. That just creates a bigger divide between f2p & p2p. Because NG would never just do that, you know. Trying to throw them a bone here. Lol. I believe they should have made them permanently part of the Distance not some epic frags and components. I want legendary stuff. -
distance with harder difficult and yes, legendary badge, more token and maybe increased reset amount.

What a rip off:( 30 % throwback for the 3rd time in less than a year?? Minus 2 passes and more than 250* less:(( already hitting the wall on round 22?? Already hit finish on second day
To avoid the grind?? Entire game is based on it:)(all games are) had to grind 38 million last week to upgrade few buildings
Only ones to benefit from this constant changing the rules are the endgamers, hope they can get 9 k -
I see many complaints without any foundation, it is a very small reduction in grind, are only 5 rounds less, and consequently 2 passes of rounds less, then next week will be a very small reduction, only 3 rounds, 18 phases, and just over 100 Stars.
NG still has to further reduce the challenge, this coming a new game mode, Guild War, which will be on the same day of the challenge. The NG may have to finish the distance on Saturday, since some fail to understand what @Kaz is talking about and what is being done in the game.
Before you come here to position yourself against, read what @Kaz
said and wait just a few more weeks to see if you can understand.
Just give the game time and know how to hope you'll see that the changes are good. -
Reaction (not complaint) was based on facts...what's the point of understanding, waiting etc, if rules constantly change?

I really, really like the 30 gallons of gas in the TS. I do not think moving the triple round to 32 is a good idea. I usually top out around 1,000 stars in round 30. Now I will not even get close to that and my challenge will be over by day 2. Please leave the rounds the way they were.
Also, having all the items to purchase in the TS with tomatoes last week was a terrific idea. Would love to see more of that. -
Love the reduction in grind by starting triple rounds later. To those complaining: use your extra time to build up your survivors through other game modes so you can start to push farther and farther in the challenge. Better yet, try some new strategies for the levels you usually max out at now that you have more time. You may surprise yourselfLeader of WATCH TOWER RoD

I'm still hitting same level as before only star count has change because we're playing less rounds
Your guild leader will adjust the star requirement accordingly after this week -
Also loving the change to the challenge. ie; Triple rounds beginning at 32.
I read many comments saying this change only benefits end gamers.
Although I don't believe that is true but if I am to believe that based on the comments I've read....
Why should the game be only a benefit to mid/low level players & many end gamers have to buy gas to play through endless rounds before reaching the challenging rounds & to push as far as possible?

Btw most of my guild is f2p and absolutely LOVED the extra gas in the shop last week. We hit a new guild record and from polling them it was in large part due to the extra gas.Leader of WATCH TOWER RoD
