Loved the Gas, awesome job on the Supplies for trade, Black Friday was a hit..... Cyber Monday .... Looking good!
I was a little busy with Thanksgiving and work to take full advantage of the gas, I was able to play some each day to complete my daily quests, few distance maps and meet my guilds star requirement
..... but Very pleased with being able to stock up!
Looking forward to this weeks challenge..... with the new changes.

Ok here's my HOT TAKE:
Gas for TGs is a dream come true... It finally gives me the resources to play through more challenge missions, but that is going to be negated by the upcoming weeks changes. You are basically cutting the amount of missions I am able to complete, and as it stands I have over 100 gas right now bc I spent the last day of the Challenge crawling through the high difficulty rounds. This will inevitably lead to frustration on my part for not being able to contribute to my Guilds Star Count past the third day... on the other hand it will open up the opportunity to play other game modes again, as I have basically given up on The Distance and Outpost in order to focus my Gas and time resources on getting Stars for my guild.Trust in NG *rubs ears* woo-sahhh

I loved having the extra gas in the trade shop. But don’t like the idea of the ultimate challenge, “2 rounds till Difficultly 32” just not happy with it. Losing out on too much, less game play(which I don’t mind), I can get to Difficultly 32 but I only have a few level 24 players so I’ll only be able to play a couple rounds up there as where when it starts at Difficultly 27 at least it’s giving the mid-level players a fair shot of moving up or players like me that are not quite at the end a chance to still level up their survivors to form. But I do like the extra gas, gave me something more so I could play other stuff in the game while the challenge was going on like scavenge and that. The gas should be permanently as it’s hard to wait for I guess. But still not happy about less rounds or the change.

Best change to the game ever for me. As a sworn f2p, i could even achieve this with 30 gas:
-
Love the extra gas in trade goods restock. I played a lot more than usual as a result. I do think the rewards should reflect the effort taken to achieve them. It does seem a disproportionate reward for the effort at higher levels.
Thanks

Love the 30 units of fuel in trade shop definitely keep!!!
Not a fan of triple rounds not starting until round 32, As a mid level player I’ll never hit 1000 stars (for reference this last challenge was the first time I completed round 32.1 in three years)! -

I have a Distance proposal for next week and continuing. Can we get the fragments and components reset to ledgenary for those who pay it for a second round. Make it worth wild for our 400 gold to reset. Make that a permanent thing to not just once in a blue moon. Plus double up the tokens as well.

-
Can we please have the 30 gas all the time in the tgs shop on restocks. So even on non challenge/distance days we can still raid or do some scavenge missions? Thank you.

Definitely a fan of the 30 gas in Trade Shop! Please seriously consider keeping that. Got me to play more and I did better for my guild.

Too many post to read so applolgies up front for any repitition. Many people will find themselves forced to run scavenge missions to make up for the experience points they did not earn during the challenge. With all the people and gear to upgrade, i dont see much reduction in the time i need to spend playing the game to get the results i seek. The levels getting cut out are the levels i stick around to farm. So i will be forced to make it up. Reward crates will also be lost due to the reduction in challenge missions. I still have lots of badges to upgrade and prayers for legendary gear drops.
The reward system has always been weighted too heavily towards the lesser players and lesser guilds. The better you do the longer you and your guild have to wait for additional rewards. The reward system is set up like a socialist run government welfare program. And those rewards are rarely worth the time and effort. The vast majority are alleged deluxe reward crates with 58k or so experience in them. At 2.91 mill to promote to 25 and over 6 ml and almost 3 days to upgrade gear for a 25, there is nothing deluxe about it. And why is there a cap on the reward for finishing a round? The law of diminishing returns says this is not a good thing.
An easy fix to the loss of experience points would be to VASTLY increase the experience points given per kill as you progress in difficulty. Reward crates need to be adjusted. Common and uncommon gear should not exist, and maybe rare also. Junk gear in a siver crate with scrap value less than a bronze experience crate does not please Pavlov`s drooling dog. Reallocate these worthless gear drops to resources and improve the resource crates.
Someone said increase gas storage. I agree but can we have a free upgrade if maxed out? Make the reduced healing permanent. I spent a lot more gold this time since the cost was less. So that could be a win win. The better gas for tg was very nice. But tg spent on gass were not spent on class and hero tokens. So i have to raid more and reallocate the grind. Obviously more tg in the higher levels would help this.
Thanks for trying to improve the gameplay and seeking our feedback. -
You could also argue that many players are also forced to run early level challenge missions they don't want to play because other players will complain about 'losing' rewards they could more easily earn in other game modes like scavenges. There are no lost reward crates, they will just be 'earned' in another game mode instead. The main people suffering with the reduced rounds are the players who maybe max out at RSL32 and are seeing their more fun and challenging rounds cut, not the players who use them for farming. Hopefully these players will be able to use the gas instead for the distance or scavenges to beef up their survivors and maybe push a little further in futuredlb said:Many people will find themselves forced to run scavenge missions to make up for the experience points they did not earn during the challenge. I wouldn't say that the reward system favors lower level players and guilds at all. Two examples are the fixed amounts from token crates, for example a player reaching 1550* will get a guaranteed 24 tokens reward whilst a lower level player could see most of their token crates have 8-10 tokens. Also, during guild week there were rewards for the top guilds which lower ranked guilds had no chance of earning, like a legendary frag for 30k*.
I do agree on the deluxe reward crates, these should go up in amount as you earn them. Last week I got 58k for my 2500* crate, no different than the one I earned for 18*.

Extra gas every re-stock is fantastic, my issue is with regards to buying new weapons when there an option in the trades good store, you should show the traits each weapon has to unlock because for me and im sure alot others would agree is a big factor when determining wether I'd want the weapon or not.

Awesome news about the extra gas in the tg shop again(28th November). Thanks @Kaz

The extra gas in the trade good shop will only be sold from wednesday to sunday? Let it avalable also on tuesday, for the distance!

Why keep screwing with rounds and punishing mid range and FtP players? Not all of us have elite chars even at end game to get past lvl 31 let alone get 32.1 just to have more challenge.. So yet again cater to the elite players and screw the ones that play to have fun and make the xp and supplies needed to move up and better a survivor. If the elite and PtP are so bored with grind? Why not instead of hurting many, make distance available every day. Let them grind that and let the avg player have more challenge to play
the TG gas is the right idea. So with fuel available the lower *grind* can be run right through and those who crave the end of challenge the first day still have it that way. I just do not understand this challenge policy nor the constant screwing with the one fun thing to do in game as end player. Allows a guild to socialize and help each other. Instead? Now most done day one or two. And bye. I just wonder how many more players will leave over this help the elite player attitude and make it not worth playing and move to other games?@Dragonfyre (Leader/Dragons Weyr) -
I like the option to pay 1500 craters for 30 gas.
I like the concept of 2 repeats until level 32 but dont like it after a week where the format was easier to get round passes as on this set up I lose stars because I more than likely wont be perfect through the repeat rounds as I have 12 round passes now. I would like it if NG staged the format changes in ways where you dont feel like pushing for an extra round pass and spending gold to do it is punished in the new format change the next.
-
Love the 30 gas brilliant, don’t like the round passes at all never have should be players choice to use the round pass when they want to any time in the challenge,I play every day it’s a great game .looking forward to the guild wars keep up the good work

30 gas is great!
Reducing my cost of playing could increase my funds for packages, which is probably what will happen on those few gas boosters I may opt not to buy now. So that's mutually beneficial, in my opinion, to NG and to me, more stuff, less 24 hour gas.
On another note, for the players whom only want to play challenge maps over and over, which I understand, as collecting XP is an ongoing issue, and sometimes, enjoying the lower levels is a fun thing even for elites if it is on occasion, on weeks where nothing else is going on.
Though I am unsure if someone has posted an alternative challenge format that is similar to this one or not, I will pitch this idea as an alternative for all level of players to read and consider, and perhaps PM me or respond to in this thread.
Begin at RSL 23 for level 70 players, and make every round have three stages. I'm unsure how you could tier this as player levels decrease, but I'm sure someone could offer advise on this. At the beginning of the first map set, add an option for quick play, or triple star totals for completing the .3 toughest set. Same for 24-every level the player wants to speed through.
If a player wants not to speed play, they don't have to. If a player wants to speed play to allow time for distance, or any other future game play implement, they may. Speed play to 40, for instance, in 16 rounds. Or, speed play to 30. When you choose not to speed play, you may no longer have the option to speed play again until the next challenge begins.
This option will give players the opportunity to work around busy life schedules, or very inactive life schedules. Players like myself have both types of weeks, and the opportunity to enjoy a slow grind isn't necessarily unwanted, but it is tedious do on a weekly basis.
Meanwhile, on easier sets, like Teeming Graveyard a week ago, elite players wouldn't have to complete 80+ rounds manually in order to achieve unheard of levels of greatness, and also would not be penalized the following week for collecting too many round passes.
@Kaz if we cannot choose our starting RSL, would an option like this be an alternative? Please respond if it is or if it is not.
In the interim, I don't believe this solution will satisfy a broad spectrum of player base. It will satisfy me, however, so I will say YAY to TG gass, and to fewer rounds, cheers! -
I am seeing a lot of complaint about earning XP, and I come to remember that the game has other modes to play, like scavenge and Outpost, and also anyone who wants to play for XP can not only advance the level and continue repeating how many times you want the same map on the same levels.
-
@TCBRITO, the challenge is more fun to play than either of those. Scavenge is just switch off and grind and outpost is much the same. Perhaps if the walkers varied in scavenge it would be better and also an xp boost.
-
Outpost raiding needs a huge overhaul with rewards per mission/objective/cycles.

I am a FTP player and endgamer but I welcome the changes to the challenge format too.
If you are a mid level player, you can make use of the free time and gas to grind for tomatoes,XP or TG which is the same you will get through challenge rewards, except maybe for random hero/survivor tokens.
It is much faster this way to level up everything you have which is also the objective of the game; get stronger, get better gear, better satisfication when you realise you can crack higher levels than before. This is speaking from experience as I had to take a break from challenges every once in a while to catch up with the PTP since I am FTP. -
I thought the 30gas for TG was continuing this week.
I didn't have it in my trade shop restock.
@Kaz
*one of my guild mates had it. Although I did log in after the challenge began & my restock was 30mins into the challenge.
Anyway, I'm guessing it'll be there next restock.-TJS - Member of W-SNation Wars 🇦🇺 Australian Team Captain -
Hm... it should be there. I've just checked the game data and I can see that's active right now. Maybe we had some issue before that? Dunno, I'll check it out.TJS said:I thought the 30gas for TG was continuing this week.

@Kaz
But yeah, it should be available for you after another TGS restock. -
No worries @Kaz , all good.
Seems all my guild mates who have had a restock got it.
If I don't have it on next restock I'll let you know.-TJS - Member of W-SNation Wars 🇦🇺 Australian Team Captain
